Re: Rimfire Shotgun
The 9mm rimfire guns were a popular early 1900's parlour guns for the rich and nobility to have on hand. It allowed the gentry some manly time on the indoor gun range or out back for some in yard skeet shooting. They still make and sell the rim fire ammunition for these guns too. So one can still sh...

Looks like a couple of meth heads or heroin addicts. Apparently she lost her mind too. One more candidate for the Darwin Award.
Wow! This pretty much takes most of the police department off of the duty roster though. They are all on administrative leave until it is all sorted out.

Re: 5.7x28 - the real skinny?
The 5.7x28mm cartridge is very lethal as well as quite effective. Don't forget the unfortunate case of ex-Major Hasan using the cartridge to kill a lot of people at the Army base in Texas a number of years ago. Granted at that time one could get the more hotly loaded ammunition for it. But the resul...

That is pretty neat. Thanks for sharing. It is nice to see at least a few less thugs out there.

Re: California wants to secede!
I doubt they would secede. They would lose all of that Federal subsidy money to help pay for their welfare programs etc. They now have a huge percentage of people getting welfare, medicaid, etc. Something like more than 34% of the people in the USA on welfare are in California. But they only have 12...

Re: Patreus. For Common Sense Gun Control?
I sometimes think that Trump is deliberately dragging in all sorts of people to throw the press and media off the track. The media has a small mob of people camped outside of his elevators at his Trump building in NYC. So basically the media knows everyone who is coming and going. They even use came...

Re: Why Are Custom Plates So Expensive in TX?
It looks like the personalized custom plates got expensive because of demand. So they kept raising the cost until demand slacked off. Then they stuck to that price. ref http://www.dmv.org/tx-texas/special-license-plates.php?mkgtype=SEM I am going to get the Amateur Radio Operator plates for my car. ...

Re: Show your DIY Ideas and Projects
One hobby I’d like to get into is reloading, however living in the Dallas/Irving area in an apartment, I don’t have the spare space for a dedicated reloading bench. I’ve been doing my cleaning and pistol and rifle mods on the dining room table (yes, I do make sure to adequately protect the table!) ...

Re: Cash in, load up, drop out
The Annoyed Man mentioned Enjoy the Decline by Aaron Clarey in another thread. It seems the idea resonates with many, but the devil is in the details. The nuts and bolts also become more complicated as we get older. For example, what to do about heath care? I have a high deductible plan at work and...

All I know is, Insurance rates in Texas are high due to the fact 25% of drivers in Texas are uninsured. How does this happen anyway? There are people who make counterfeit stickers. Thus a scofflaw can buy the fake sticker and put it on their windshield. They only get caught when involved in a traff...

Re: Poll: Stop and Frisk
I think that stop and frisk would have to be used very carefully otherwise it leads to racial profiling real fast. When I did police work, if there was a high crime area, they would establish a zero tolerance zone and everyone would be writing tickets for everything including the minor stuff. Natura...

Re: Do you check reflections?
Yeah checking the reflections to see what is behind you without trying to actually look behind you is a good idea. You never know anymore what might happen. But I also have a habit of looking to make sure my concealed gun isn't too noticeable too. Unfortunately a anti-gun person is likely to become ...

When I have to disarm, I use a lockbox in the car. It would stop the typical thief who breaks into a car looking for something quick and easy to steal. The thieves do not usually carry the tools needed to break open a lockbox.

Re: Is this 30.06 sign legit?
I typically upload the picture to tinypic.com then copy the URL and paste the URL into the message between the IMG code from the Img button in the toolbar. But I haven't tried it from an iPhone yet. I will have to see if it can be done or not sometime.
