Re: Campus Carry revived, attached to open carry

We should have attached Open Carry and Campus carry to an anti-abortion bill. We can get THOSE passed pretty reliably.

Re: HB910 on House Calendar for 3rd Reading

Open-carry is fine and even HB308 has some life left in it. Srnewby is correct, something is working so watch the horizon. Since we know the opposition reads the Forum, and that there are even moles among us, I can't say more at this point. I spent the day in Austin today. Chas. Been lurking here w...

Re: What would make me want to open carry?

Personally, I don't mind paying a fee for something that not everyone uses. I'd prefer granting waivers for anyone near the "poverty line" for the fees, and maybe even giving some vouchers for training (say $75 toward a $150 class or something) In govt, we give away too much stuff, and I l...

Re: What would make me want to open carry?

mere carrying of firearms in the public for non-felons should not be a crime. Case closed. No actually. Entering a restaurant with a rifle at the low ready should be. i would be willing to bet that if OC for handguns passes you won't have these idiots running around with their AR's and AK's....the ...

Re: What would make me want to open carry?

Personally? I don't care if anyone wants to open carry or not. It should be legal. There's no reason that just SEEING a handgun should be illegal. Throughout history, lots of laws get passed that have unintended concequences. In Kentucky, it is illegal to carry an ice cream cone in your back pocket....

Re: Angry at Sprouts!

I have a weird idea. I have no idea if it's a good idea, but it's an idea. I'd love to keep all my central market receipts. Mail them to Sprouts after a month. "This is the business you don't want." I really wish a whole foods or another health food store would open closer. I think that's ...

Re: Angry at Sprouts!

I dont think Aldi owns sprouts.

AFAIK, its owned and operated out of AZ.

Last time I visited the ALDI locally, they were not posted! If their ground beef and bacon is decent, I will shop there!

Re: Angry at Sprouts!

Good luck Mr. Quixote. Sounds like they made up their mind are are counting to three. I am used to tilting at windmills. I pretty much do it professionally in my engineering job. Her job is just to tell me what has already been decided. My hope is, if enough of us keep prodding, it'll turn into a b...

Re: Angry at Sprouts!

I had a friend go check out a Sprouts in AZ, and they have gunbuster signs there (which are legal and have the force of law behind them.)

I'm guessing it's a corporate decision to ban ccw from all stores, and they've done their homework.

Re: Angry at Sprouts!

DOUBLE POST!

Wow, I went to the Sprouts Facebook page, and there's a LOT of talk about 30.06 on there! I'm really proud of all my fellow gun nuts.
I'm also disappointed that Sprouts has yet to discuss any of this publicly, though.

Re: Angry at Sprouts!

Sorry it took so long to respond, but I have only one challenge with the OP's letter. It was good until it got to this point: I also want to let you know that I will be telling all my conceal-carry friends to be sure and no longer stop at your stores. I have started this by reporting your location ...
