That what I use for a carry piece never had any issue with it...One thing I do highly recommend it to change out the springs somewhere around 1000-1200 rounds.. ;-) A little trick to taking these things down...Eventually you will probably lose the take down tool that came with it..I think mine laste...

I picked my nephew up a bolt action .22 for xmas last year..On thing I strongly recommened is to have her shoot open sights for the first couple of years before moving up to optics..
