Any kydex workers in here?

I'm in the need for something kind of custom and I don't want to be charged out the wazoo for it. I just don't feel that a Raven holster is worth 85.00, especially with a 16 week lead time. What I want is a Raven type OWB kydex holster and a triple mag holder for a Walther PPS. Would like both to be...

Re: Question about smoking a Boston Butt

If it adds to the flavor f the meat I wouldn't consider it a waste of the cider. :thumbs2:

Question about smoking a Boston Butt

I've got a ten pound butt I want to smoke next week and I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be a bad idea, for any reason, to soak the butt in some hard cider before applying the rub.
Specifically, I want to use either Woodchuck Amber or 802.

Poor kid.
It's a shame his hand was forced so far at such a young age.
Glad he's ok.
Good job, boy!

Re: Date night gone wrong

I'm pretty sure that if that had happened to me and she continued to preach from her soap box I'd give her the option to stop talking or get out and start beating feet. If she asked nicely I might even slow down for her to get out.

Re: Shot my second hand PPS today...

I probably won't end up using the +P stuff.
Looking at different videos on YouTube an load data from the manufacturer the difference in ft/s and energy is negligible to me.
I don't think anyone's every said "Thank goodness I only get shot with a standard pressure round and not a +P one!"

Re: Shot my second hand PPS today...

I'm short on extra money right now and hours are being cut so it'll be a while before I can test some different loads to see what I and the gun like best.

Re: Shot my second hand PPS today...

I'm curious.
I've got some 124gr +P Ranger-T that was a little more than I was expecting out of my XD(first time shooting +P anything).
Wondering how they'd run in my PPS. Guess we'll find out on my next day off.
Is there anyone who just doesn't care do the +P variety?

Re: Review: Custom XD-9 by Springer Precision - Pic Heavy

TAM, pretty much. I got it to the range today and had a hard time maintaining any level of accuracy while standing but from a rest it was dead on so I know the problem lies with the operator. I shot it better before I sent it off.... Before I went out I also added a pair of rubber Talon grips that d...

Re: Review: Custom XD-9 by Springer Precision - Pic Heavy

Be sure to post how it shoots and how it feels. I have been thinking of getting the grip chop on mine. Thanks, George In the hand it feels great. Just like my sub-compact did before I traded it off. I'll shoot it a little later today and see whats what. So is the purpose of the grip chop to gain th...

Review: Custom XD-9 by Springer Precision - Pic Heavy

I have an XD-9 Service that I wanted a little work on so I decided to send it in to Springer Precision and let them tune it up a bit. They offered me their FedEx discount, which was nice, so it was about 45.00 each way. They do this for all their customers by the way. Services I had done: Grip chop ...

Re: Went to Topgolf West Houston

I haven't been in a few months but I don't recall the one in Allen having any sort of posting.
I do love me some TopGolf too. Guess it's time to take another trip to see.
Also, I wonder what the status on the new one in The Colony will be once it's up and running.
