Re: Check under the hood of your truck!
I had a John Deere lawn tractor out on my property, the pack rats moved in, they ate all the red plastic on the battery and left a generalized mess behind. One would think that they would get shocked. Saw this on the internet https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-squirrel-walnuts-engine/squirrels-s...

TX PC 9.22 Sec. 9.22. NECESSITY. Conduct is justified if: (1) the actor reasonably believes the conduct is immediately necessary to avoid imminent harm; (2) the desirability and urgency of avoiding the harm clearly outweigh, according to ordinary standards of reasonableness, the harm sought to be p...

Re: Andrews Texas: post office, stabbing, LTC intervention
Surprised the good guys were not arrested for carrying in a gun free zone. Should give them at least 10 years in prison. Since this would be federal jurisdiction, could local police even arrest them or would it require postal inspector or FPS? I was not really serious about the good guys being arre...

Re: Booking Flights with online service - good/bad experiences?
I have not flown commercial in years but I have heard one trick that you might consider, use a VPN when booking and price the ticket from various countries by switching the VPN location. Apparently the price can change significantly depending upon which country the VPN you use is located in. I have ...

Re: Sam's Club Requiring ID Card At Door Again
Sam’s is a members only club and people are complaining about having to show their membership card? :headscratch :headscratch The complaint is not about showing the card, it is that corporate instituted that because of the WalMart shooting in El Peso. Scratch your head figuring out what their logic...

Re: FL: Father kills son in law accidentally with one shot from .380
When my daughter was very young late at night I heard a noise at one of the windows just outside of her bedroom. I went out with my .357 only to find one of her girlfriends at her window. Must have been 12 years old or so. Reading this story brings back that point and the potential for a very seriou...

Re: Sam's Club Requiring ID Card At Door Again
These people are not stupid. They know there is ZERO way to prevent an armed shooter from killing people in their stores. The goal is to APPEAR like they are doing something. Actually there is a way, they could hire armed guards with sub machine guns at each door instead of handicapped guys in whee...

Sam's Club Requiring ID Card At Door Again
Went to my local (Wichita Falls) Sam's club yesterday and they have a big sign on the doors now requiring your ID card for entrance. They have not required this for years. So I asked the guy at the door, a nice handicapped guy, "what's up?". "Since the shooting down south they now req...

Re: Wanted: pocket pistol HOUSTON
your budget is within the retail price of a PF9 already... why not buy a new one? Dealer’s choice lets/forces me to try new things. I do the same in restaurants! I do the same nearly every time: when the server asks for my order, I say, “surprise me” nine times out of ten. So funny story. First dat...

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident
I have lived in NYC when a youth, large apartment buildings with many floors that all look alike. I never made the mistake of going to the wrong floor or wrong apartment. This case is not murder but what we have is a fine young man killed by a police officer too stupid to go into her own apartment. ...

Re: What Did You Do In The Reloading Room This Week?
Working on reloading some .32ACP with LeHigh Defense xtreme defense 55 gr bullets. I sometimes carry a Kel-Tec P32 mouse gun and wanted to try a bigger mouse in it. These are not easy to load, especially my first time using True Blue. That powder makes water look like molasses. LeHigh, Midwayusa and...
