Re: TX: Homeowner's gun misfires when confronting burglar
Yep, life in Houston won't be dull while he's running for mayor (and maybe, just maybe, in office?) I had no idea that this misfiring victim of a robbery, who is running for Mayor is also this guy. https://abc13.com/woman-accused-of-damaging-$300k-worth-of-art-on-first-date/2829928/ A woman who he w...

HPOU offices - 30.06 or nay?
Interested in going to a public event at the HPD officer's union building, 1602 State Street, there'll be a presentation about LTC laws. I looked up the address in texas3006.com and got no hits; but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here if anyone knows if the building is posted 30.06.
thanks!
thanks!

Venezuela @ gun confiscation
I wasn't sure in which board to post this, since we don't have an 'other countries' board! https://www.foxnews.com/world/venezuelans-regret-gun-prohibition-we-could-have-defended-ourselves Digest: 2012 Chavez instituted a total ban on citizens' gun ownership. Now, the citizens realize the error of t...

Even the NYT ran a column calling the fading Clintonian empire "sad" (in a pathetic way)

Remember the bogus editing done by Katie Couric, and record your interview yourself. Preferably with an open-carry video recorder, but surreptitious audio recorder if need be.

Re: Carry at Trump Cruz rally in Houston on Monday
Read somewhere on the interwebs tonight that there was over 70,000 requests for tickets Yes, but some number of those were requested by Democrats who were hoping to reserve tickets, not show up, and have the rally look half full. One such person proudly offered me her tickets (typical bitter/angry ...

Re: ‘But, Kavanaugh!’ NeverTrump’s Awakening
We all agree that one shouldn't bring a knife to a gunfight. Well, the Left & the swamp creatures are the gunfighters, and we've been nominating Republican presidential candidates with a knife for years. We finally have a gunfighter in the WH, and we're getting results. I'm all in favor of suppo...

Re: Vacationing in gun free Mexico
I have friends who make a week+ dirt bike ride into Mexico's interior every fall, riding off road across the countryside & into smaller towns. Maybe those are the safe areas, maybe not. I just shake my head & wish them well.

huh - I can't find anywhere to vote on that link. Re: I bought body armor now what?
I've been using a backpack to schlep my laptop & assorted IT gear all day M-F for years. When I learned about Leatherback Gear's backpack design with two IIIa panels, I was sufficiently impressed to buy one. Hopefully I'll never need it, but it hasn't represented any significant change in my dai...
