Re: Vacationing in gun free Mexico
Been twice to Cozumel on a cruise and I felt safe. I did buy a cheap pocket knife from Walmart before we left so I would have some weapon. One I wouldn’t mind ditching if I got any attention from the local fuz.

Re: Can someone find this law?
Unfortunately the instructor that showed us the text passed away in 2014. LEOSA and PC: 46.15 allows carry but was more a blanket law covering sporting events and theme parks. After the NFL’s policy the state wrote a short text specifically mentioning theme parks and professional sporting events to ...

Can someone find this law?
When I was in the academy in 2014 we were shown a the text to a law in response to the NFL’s policy banning off-duty LEOs from carrying at Texas Stadium. The Texas legislator stepped in and basically wrote a law that specifically said that Texas LEOs are never off-duty and can carry virtually anywhe...

Re: HB 2164 - civil and criminal penalties for prohibiting LEO carry
Only private establishment that I’m aware of that doesn’t allow off-duty LEOs to carry is the House of Blues in Houston. Unless they have metal detectors or security pat downs, they won’t know I’m carrying anyway.

If any animal is threatening the life, health, or safety of you or your family, then you’re justified in stopping the threat be any means necessary. Good can of Fox Labs 5.3 OC spray works really well.

Re: Manager at Texas Whataburger denies service to detective because of his gun
Detectives don’t wear a traditional patrol uniform. Most wear business attire with a badge and gun. That is their uniform. Since he was on-duty I’m sure his department requires him to open carry so covering it up is out of the question. I have a training uniform that is a polo shirt with my name and...

Re: Manager at Texas Whataburger denies service to detective because of his gun
I lived in Friendswood for 20 some odd years. It very well could've been an issue with the cop that the manager had. I respect all police officers, but many Friendswood cops have been looked at questioningly by many residents, including clean cut law abiding folk, not just criminals mad because the...

Yes as the marketplace is the best place to buy/sell stuff. I buy junk and fix it up. It never lasts long on FB marketplace.

Re: CA: Police shoot and kill unarmed man in his grandmother’s backyard
Comply, comply, comply. That is all you have to do. Don't run, reach, or point anything that could resemble a firearm in the direction of an officer and you will continue to remain vertical. In low light conditions, pointing a hair brush could mistaken as a firearm. Why would someone do that anyway?...

Re: Free tip about the Flu
I got the shot and was sick for about 3 days and never missed work. I’ll say the shot worked for me as the flu was short and manageable. Since I now work full-time in a hospital we have to get he flu shot every year. Being around sick people all the time it’s a no brainer.

Re: School teacher with LTC
I worked for a school for over 10yrs. The “parking lot law” of 2011 had a list of exemptions and on the second line it read, “K-12 school districts”. Unless the law had changed schools have the right to ban firearms on any and al school property including inside your locked, personal vehicle. See a...

Re: Crypto-currencies
I got out of bitcoin way to early but I made a really nice profit. If I was still in it now, I would be worried. You think about it, you have invested into a hype. Fake money was never meant to go this high or last this long. For those still in the game...may God be with you.
