Re: Can you carry at????
Are you talking about the Museum of Nature and Science in Fair Park? If so, the buildings and property are owned by the City of Dallas, which means even if they are posted, it's not enforceable. Brian I am not sure the tenants are city of Dallas. If you go to the city web site, http://www.dallascit...

Re: Texas Health HEB buildings in Bedford, TX
Harris Methodist HEB has been posted for a long time.... not just recently. Thread was posted back in 2008: http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12754 . Thanks AM, the thread started in 2008 and I believe there was no mention of accurate 30.06 posting of the hospital until last year...

Texas Health HEB buildings in Bedford, TX
Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB in Bedford, Tx has recently posted 30.06 signage on the MAIN entrances of the associated professional buildings. Other entrances are NOT posted. The main entrance to the professional building across the street, and West of the main campus is posted, but the frequent...

Re: Purse snatch at Wal-Mart. What would you have done?
A taxpayer paid vacation to Club Huntsville is not worth a purse, nor a personal ideology about good and evil.

Re: Dress pants to pocket carry a glock 26
Did you consider an IWB holster and casual slacks with a slightly larger waistband or elastic side panel in the waist, and a covering shirt. Asking to carry something as heavy and wide as a Glock 26 in the pocket of a pair of pants, is, to me, asking a lot. Dockers, Lands End, and LL Bean are now ma...

Re: Shooting Sports Opthmologist-DFW???
I'm not sure an ophthalmologist can tell you anything more than it's an individual choice. The best thing to do is to ask around your shooting club or whatever group of shooters you know. I will offer my experience with the glasses I've tried. The sum of my experience is that if you wear tri-focals ...

Re: Printing on jeans back pocket
Printing is and should always be a concern to the CHL. However, some tend to worry more than necessary. As stated in several of the post, the average person sees little. Stop and ask yourself, how many time have you noticed a stranger printing. I mean actually printing or displaying, not suspecting ...

Re: Firing of rifles into the air!
It upsets me whenever I see it. The people we are allied with in Afghanistan do it all the time even in the presence of our troops. Firing guns into the air is a third world expression of machoism. Ignorance of even simple ballistic science exists. I seem to recall a young girl from Fort Worth being...

Re: Gun Buster Sign in North Richland Hills
I believe we have discussed this sign before. It is not applicable to someone with a CHL. It properly informs the person who hasn't a CHL that Texas has a Law prohibiting his carrying a handgun into the business. I do not know the history behind the sign. The employees and even the local manager may...

Re: Technique for T-Shirt concealment
Dickies T Shirts are heavy cotton, color fast, have long bodies, and are perfect for IWB carry. They are available at Walmart and, if I remember correctly, less than $10.

Re: 30.06 at a gun show:Valid?
Is this just an academic argument or are you really interested in fighting it. Right now gunshows are under the microscope and if they want to establish reasonable safety rules that's just fine with me. My gun club, like many, is a cold range. I don't get my shorts in a wad over it just because I ha...

Anti-gun in Hurst, TX
The NRA has released a list of Mayors aligning themselves with NYC Anti-gun Mayor Bloomberg's MAIG (Mayors Against Illegal Guns) coalition. A nice conservative sounding title to mask Bloomberg's agenda. There are only two mayors listed in Texas: Austin, no suprise there, and Mayor Richard Ward in Hu...

The truth about US-Mexico gun traffic
This is a fantastic read if you are interested in how Mexican drug gangs or any of the world's paramilitary groups obtain arms and also to learn the reason why the Mexican Government blames the US for illegal arms trafficking much to the delight of anti-gun politicians. This is from Stratfor Securit...

Confessions of a Right Wing Extremist
I recently found out I am a Right Wing Extremist, as defined by Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security. I'm trying to figure out what tipped her off; my attendance at church, my voting record, the flags on the front of my house, the fact that I belonged to the Boy Scouts of America (an obv...
