Re: TX: Dallas man goes back to bed after shooting burglar.

Truthfully I think he should have called cops at the moment he saw someone fiddling with his shed lock & stayed in the house. Having a weapon is no reason to get out of the house & confront. I’ve heard of courage in a bottle but there is also courage in a barrel. Shoot over what? A lawn mow...

Re: Dallas Swat kills suspect carrying “assault rifle”

Cops have been shot by BG running away, without turning their body away but shooting backwards. This was an armed robbery case with a dead store employee. I may be way off base but "shot in the back" is not the deciding case to me, especially when the car he was in was under surveillance, ...

Re: Chucky and the deer blind.

This in the world of crimes is a small potato crime not worth spending money or time on. I really sympathize with the author too as a blind is hard enough to make and maintain. Fingerprints though are not the way, new DNA testing is. Note I said new. My DNA is not in a database but my stupid brothe...

Re: Had a Squib

Lucky to still have a hand (or eyes). I would take the lot number from the box, plus a picture and contact Remington. They should make this good. For my curiosity though, is it hard to use a wooden dowel to knock a bullet out? Some say a brass rod. Never done it but people do that with lead bullets ...

Plus they have a red dot version. This may be the Sig killer. Will know in a year though as first gen pistols are always a risk.

Re: Chucky and the deer blind.

Maybe your game warden hasn't watched Animal Planet's Lone Star Law. Those people seem pretty tough. I agree with you that this game warden could have done more like a face to face interview with the other landowner. What if someone had been in the blind when it had been shot at? If you had shot the...

Interesting though when I signed in with my VPN I could not see this post under recent topics but it was there under my posts. I don't know what it means.

Edit
No. This doesn't show on active topics because it is under computer topics. I still see it vpn or not.

No. I use NordVPN and works OK for me. Perhaps it is the country you are signing in from? Never had a problem signing in from home computer or iPhone using NordVPN.

Re: Walmart has fallen!

This entire thread is a "tempest in a teapot", to quote The Bard . If one doesn't like any stores' policies, products, prices, parking or whatever, shop elsewhere. In the instance of Walmart's, et al , recently publicized positions on OC, don't go there if you object. This is still a free...

Re: Walmart has fallen!

I despise their policies, but if you guys just keep pushing the envelope after they have asked you not too we will see 30.06 and 30.07 signs. It will be the fault of those who think they are the exceptions. Seriously, If they want to keep open carriers out then let them post 07 and be done with it....
