Re: Wholesale elimination
That’s pretty shoddy work, but are we getting the Constitutional Carry bill signed? Depends on the senate, house accepted the committee version. The committee version is pretty much identical to the senate version, I believe so should be a good bet that it will clear the senate It should, but with ...

Re: HB 1927 on the Senate floor now
My concerns with the committee report regard section 30.05 creating a potential "grey area" that some less than honest law enforcement agencies and prosecutors may try to exploit (Good thing we don't have any of those in Texas! "rlol" ) should this become law. The 30.05(c) secti...

Re: Permitless Carry in Texas
There will still be benefits to having a Texas LTC, like bypassing NICS and reciprocity. Plus it is dirt cheap. Even if Unlicensed carry passes I will keep my LTC.

Re: SB 550 Passed
Since HB1927 is in conference committee they can remove any conflicting language, problem solved. Once a conference committee version is presented to both houses they can pass or kill it as they would have anyway.

Re: Embarrassing incident
I have a preference for Tuffy Security Products as they support my 06 LJ (2 door TJ Unlimited) Wrangler, and I installed their Console Vault in my 2020 F150. With that said I understand that they also build a lot products for first responders.

Re: SCOTUS Rules 9-0 against unlawful seizure of guns!
Alito's concurrence stated that Red Flag laws are separate and that he expects them to come before the Court, but that this opinion does not specifically address them. True. But if I understand things correctly Alito's opininion was a seperate concuring opinion, supported by himself alone, which ca...

Re: SCOTUS Rules 9-0 against unlawful seizure of guns!
I have yet to read the opinion, but based on what I am hearing I want to expand on my layman's understanding of this ruling. Essentially the court ruled on it as a fourth amendment case, but because the Biden Administration pushed for a "Second Amendment Exception" to the Fourth Amendment ...

Re: SCOTUS Rules 9-0 against unlawful seizure of guns!
While this case revolved around the seizure of firearms, it is NOT a gun case no matter how much people want it to be. The good news is that while it isn't a second amendment case it is a good verdict on the 4th amendment.

Re: TX: No place but Plano
And this will continue to happen until some irate motorist gets out with an AR and does a 60rnd mag dump. This is exactly what they are hoping for! Nothing is going to improve until the cities/counties/states begin enforcing the laws. They're not gonna enforce the laws. Its just gonna get worse unt...

Re: When will the Gov. sign Constitutional Carry
The house has to approve the changes the Senate made to the bill, or send it to conference committee then both houses approve that final version. If either of those don't happen then he won't be able to sign it.

Re: HB 1927 on the Senate floor now
... I believe if it goes to a conference committee, it will die. If it doesn't go to a conference committee it will die. The House and the Senate voted on different versions, so it has to be reconciled in committee (and then voted on again) or it's dead. The house will vote to accept or reject the ...

Re: Embarrassing incident
I have a Tuffy console vault in my pickup and their secure underseat lockbox in my Jeep. Not fool proof but much better than the cabled lock boxes, which are better than nothing.
