Re: Bedford Police Chief answers re: CHLer arrested at hospital
A medical examiner can say something to the like that based on the amount of blood found at the scene that there was enough blood loss to cause death. But that does not mean that someone is dead…it is entirely possible the person is still alive. In the above scenario, a grand jury would make the ...

Re: Bedford Police Chief answers re: CHLer arrested at hospital
pt145ss I thought facts were not facts until a trier of facts (a jury) says it is a fact. This is at least what has been argued so vigoursly on this forum Without a jury, it can be established as a fact that there is a dead body. Based on statements and evidence, the jury determines [concludes] if ...

Re: master cast bullet co.-Rainer bullets
But I think everyone would agree that the Ranier is an inexpensively constructed bullet suitable only for practice and plinking. It should never be considered for defensive purposes. :iagree: Expanding a little on Mike1951s comments: Even with gas checks, a cast bullet can't be driven to the same v...

Is is proper for the Chief to comment on "an ongoing investigation"? That's what they always say on TV.txinvestigator wrote:I just emailed the Chief again asking if he could clarify 30.06 wording, or if she received verbal notice.

Re: LEO seizure of a handgun
The heartburn territory is where the officer disarms because of gut feeling. There is the implication that the CHL holder, who has lived his entire life up to that point without committing a felony, and has no misdemeanor for at least five years, is going to shoot a cop over a traffic ticket. - Jim...

No! Plated is not the same as jacketed.coronel wrote:Being that the Rainer bullet is copperplated that is at least in 38 special and 357 magnum, will it open up well and be considered as a man stopper?

Re: Monarch ammo in 38 spec. and 357 mag. jhp
Coronel - While shooting at jugs filled with water is fun, it is not a good way to test the effectiveness of a self defensive round. That is, unless you're being attacked by water-jug zombies. Monarch is fine for practice, but for your self defense ammo, go with Gold Dot, Hydra Shok or somethi...

I heard that they liked it because it made a lot of noise.txinvestigator wrote:One of the reasons DPS went with the .357 Sig was its performance against barriers like windshield glass, car doors, etc.

Anyone know If the holster thing normal? It's like buying a new car. The first scratch is the worst! Last month I took a class and we did some malfuction drills. After practicing clearing a couple of stovepipes I noticed a long scratch on the top of my slide. :mad5 I got over it pretty quick.
