Re: Spooked in a WM parking lot
Had I been carrying, he would have been the one scared! Glad you weren't carrying. Just getting close to you in a parking lot, especially since he was going to the car beside you and it was daylight, would not have justified drawing on him. I would possibly have put my hand in a purse or on the han...

Re: Stop the Bleed
Just a note here. The use of quick clot or similar agents is not recommended unless the patient is five or more hours away from an ER/Trauma Center. It works but it also causes a lot of problems for the surgeons when they get the patient in the ER. Direct Pressure or a tourniquet are the preferred ...

Re: Self defense isurance
You'll find out in all likelihood if you have the lawyer you need within 24-48hrs and if you're not confident in the competency of the lawyer provided you can always hire another. Does the service you got lets you switch lawyers at no charge? Why wait for those crucial hours and not research now fo...

Re: Is this sign enforceable?
Aware might not have been the best word to use. I mean if I was worried about the sign, I would talk to the police to make sure they know the law regarding ltc holders. I think the place to start would be with the City's parks director, the city manager/mayor, and the city council. Even if they are...

Re: Self defense isurance
$200 per year multiplied by the extremely low probability that the service gets used? Sure, they can easily afford a good lawyer for you. It's just like insurance. Do I really think that the insurance company will pay me $400,000 to replace my house if it burns down even though I am only paying a t...

Re: Texas Laws on Civil Liability
Can anyone, especially an attorney, please explain what part of Texas law is in effect according to these two statutes. They seem to be in conflict. Thank you. Sec. 9.06. CIVIL REMEDIES UNAFFECTED. The fact that conduct is justified under this chapter does not abolish or impair any remedy for the c...

Make sure that your are aware of self defense insurance and pre-paid legal service. There is a difference. +1 million. This! From one of those shields sites... " This Legal Service Contract is not an insurance contract." "...is not a law firm and any legal services are provided by in...

Re: Is this sign enforceable?
It is enforceable as far as a city code violation but not otherwise. Not for an LTC holder. :iagree: An LTC holder is not violating any laws, codes, or otherwise. But by having the city code, the city is violating Texas law. It would be interesting if they actually issued you a citation since that ...

Re: Carter Blood Care Bus
You are technically trespassing and may be asked to leave where hybrid signs are posted but unless you refuse to do so when asked are not at risk of any sort of legal jeopardy. I don't think you are trespassing unless/until they ask you to leave and you refuse. The hybrid sign has no force of law. ...
