Re: True TABC signage
LSL you did good. I really don't understand the reason for the other comments. I agree with you as well LSL. While I, as a CHL holder in Texas, are expected to know the laws pertainng to CHL, I also expect establishments dealing with the TABC to know the laws pertaining to the particular signs theT...

My wife learned the same painful lesson in the way. She didn't ever like to wear a ballcap. She decided, like you did, the cap wasn't so bad after all.

Re: Why did you get your CHL?
I moved to the DFW area in mid-1995. The small rural Iowa community that I had grown up and lived in for 25 years had only 1 murder in that time. The doors on the house were never locked and the keys were left in the car all the time. I remember Dad being furious when someone removed the keys from t...

For a place closer to the center of DFW, Great Southwest Gun Range in Main Street in Grand Prairie offers indoor rifle/pistol
lanes for a day rate and they offer memberships, as well.

Re: What do YOU call it?
Growing up in Iowa, everything was pop. While probably not as big a seller as Coke, Pepsi was bigger in Iowa than it is in Texas. My wife, Texas born, laughs when she used to read my hometown paper and the local grocery store offered a special of a hot dog and pop for $0.50! She thinks everyone in I...

Re: New to CHL: Need holster recommendations
go with the crossbreed holsters. you might have to wait a week or two but worth the comfort... I vote for the Crossbreed Supertuck as well. I've used one for about 3 years and love it. As good as a good holster is, get a good gun belt that will hold up the weight of the gun. I have been using a Dou...
