Re: Mailing Address
I don't know if it's been brought up before, but it is a good question. I took the class back in October, then did the online application the end of May. Just call me "Mr. Procrastinator". I noticed the different mailing addresses and elected to use the one from the online process. To make...

Re: Let's carry to the State Fair on Friday Sept 24 !
I'll pass. My wife and I will be going mid-week some time, but I would just as soon enter unobtrusively and not announce for anyone to overhear, "Hey, man, I'm CHL," unless I actually have to. And if I have to talk about it, it will be in low tones. I'll be there this Wednesday with my Mo...

There's an easier way than moving. Just take a little July vacation to Houston.Dave2 wrote:Yeah, but it's one step closer to me moving somewhere with reasonable summers. I've got family in CA; I like HI better.
You'll think our North Texas summers are downright chilly!

Re: FYI on Address Change Processing Time
2 quick questions....1) How long do we have as far as grace period, after we move, to change our address, and 2) Is it unlawful to carry before updating your address during the grace period?? GC §411.181. NOTICE OF CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR NAME. (a) If a person who is a current license holder moves fro...

Re: Electric help needed
Thanks for all the help guys. I'm glad I posted because there's some things that I've done in the past (touched wires with front of fingers, made myself a circuit, etc) that I never even thought of. I'll definitely take all your advice when I tackle this next weekend. One other thing I was thinking...

Re: Active Shooter Standoff continues in Odessa
I have to wonder about the reporter that put out this gem: Medical Center Hospital is in an emergency mode so if you have an emergency you are asked to go to Odessa Regional Medical Center. :headscratch (I know what the message is supposed to be, but it could have been written with a little thought.)

You can set a password on a Blackberry and set it to lock after xx minutes of non-use.
If someone puts the wrong password in 3 - 5 times (user settable) it will totally wipe itself and become a brick.

Re: New Here With Questions
I have a Kimber Ultra CDP II as my EDC. Obviously, I think they're great pistols. I personally will never set foot in B&S again, but that's just my opinion. You might want to check out Ammo Depot. They're farther east on I-30 and they have a great crew. There is a map here: http://www.texas-on-l...
