Re: IWB or OWB?
Depends on the clothing I am wearing. If I am wearing jeans (generally too tight for IWB) I go OWB. If I am wearing loose shorts or I'm dressed business casual then I am IWB.

Re: Glock 30 opinions please
My Dad carries a Glock 36 (slim version of the 30). It's fantastic for carry and shoots wonderfully. Just as narrow as my Kahr CW45 as well as the new Springfield XD-S. The 30 is still a decent carry gun. The extra rounds of .45 (over the other options mentioned) are nice. If you are comfortable wit...

Re: What's the Origin of Your User Name?
On most car forums ( My wife and I race cars) I'm Redbeard because well I have a red beard but the forum said that had been taken. So net stop was something close plus my favorite round the .45 ACP. :) Nothing amazing but it works.

Re: Carry Always and Everywhere It's Legal
It's manor, 290 and shadowglen. I'm out and about tonight (and carrying a bigger gun plus extra mags) but I plan on swinging by the store to get the details tonight or tomorrow. Not far from me. We had that whack job shoot the DPS employee right by my place a month or so ago. This is a nice nieghbo...

Re: In chamber or no?
I'll toss in my mutual agreement. One on the chamber. I carry a Kahr CW45. I though about getting a Glock 36 (What my Dad carries; great pistol) but I was just more comfortable with the DA feeling trigger pull. Either one is perfectly safe in a proper holster but knowing myself that longer trigger s...

Re: New Job at Airport (Parking Lot Questions)
No, the Federal regs are quite clear, but some airports, such as Love Field where we were given a set of rules by the airport stating that firearms were not allowed in cars in the parking lot, consider themselves laws unto themselves. And the state laws are just as clear, but see the previous sente...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hello all. I've posted a bit and just saw this thread. Figured I'd introduce myself. Been shooting since I was six years old. Did some competitve skeet shooting as a teen and shot come competitive bullseye after undergrad and during grad school. Considering shooting some IDPA or IPSC now that I am i...

Re: New Job at Airport (Parking Lot Questions)
As stated the OP parking lot is not a secure area. I will be working in the secure area of the terminal while my car stays parked in the lot; it isn't part of my job. The lots have limited access and and are patrolled by a security guard. So, I'm cofused, do the Fed regs state the parking lot is a s...

New Job at Airport (Parking Lot Questions)
Hey All. Just got a new job at the airport (commercial airport with TSA/Metal Detectors/etc). I am trying to remember my CHL class but I don't recall. I know I can't carry at work but is it okay for me to leave it in my car? Normally I assume the "Parking Lot Law" would apply but I am not ...

Re: First carry
I know the feeling. I just got mine as well. Went for a walk to get the mail (central mail boxes about .75 miles from the house) and felt oddly conspicuous. I'm also a lefty but I spend a decent time sitting and getting in and out of cars. I have a nice Crossbreed IWB that I use just a tad back from...
