Re: What did you get for Christmas?
I got to spent Christmas with my oldest son who was home from school. He graduates this spring and (hopefully) will be beginning gainful employment and will not be able to spend as much time at home at Christmas in the future. So this may be the last year we are all together for more than a weekend ...

Re: Kahr firearms informal poll
My P45 had FTF (light strikes) and FTF/E issues. It was returned to the factory for repair with a turnaround time of a little over 1 week. I haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet to see if the issues are gone. On the other hand, my PM9 has been perfect since day one. I would buy another K...

Re: CAMPUS CARRY: TIME CRITICAL ACTION ITEM!
I just read Driver's amendment (#43). It appeared to have some syntax issues. Maybe an amendment to the amendment would have been in order?

Re: CAMPUS CARRY: TIME CRITICAL ACTION ITEM!
Tan Parker's office just got a call from another constituent. The person on the phone was aware of the status of HB1893 and immediately stated that Tan was a co-sponsor of 1893 and implied he would support Amendment #42.

Must be the House then, because there are way more than 31 seats on the floor.

The House is scheduled to convene at 10:00am today. I have no idea when HB1893 will be debated/voted. It's a very long calendar today. Here is a link to the video feed. Just click on "Live House Chamber Feed" but don't bother doing so before 10:00am. http://www.house.state.tx.us/media/wel...

My Senator is Chris Harris, who is a co-author. However, I just spoke with his office and reiterated my desire that he support the bill "without any amendments unacceptable to the author."

Re: What is "Failure to conceal"?
Does a holster conceal the handgun if no part of the handgun is visible? Depends. If the resonable person defined in the statute can tell it is a holster with a handgun in it, then no. Keith B, by your definition, would use of the "SafePacker" ( http://store.thewilderness.com/index.php?cP...

Re: CHL does NOT get you out of a ticket
Prior to getting my CHL I had not received a ticket for over 15 years, although I had been stopped at least a dozen times. I credit this to being polite and obviously concerned for the officer's safety. However, since getting my CHL I have been stopped twice ...... and was ticketed both times for sp...

Re: Got a chance to show the police my CHL!!
The officer who wrote me the ticket made it very clear that the reason he was writing a "No Plate" ticket was because he was not able to get his LIDAR (Laser radar) to read my speed without a front plate to bounce the light off of. Hunter UUUMMMMMM Lidar doesn't need a plate to bounce off...
