Bass Pro is also discounting the sales tax off the price plus discounting another 10% if you open a new Bass Pro credit card account. I bought the LC9 with the LaserMax out the door for $360.00.

Re: Richardson Wildflower Festival

This event is being held on public streets, the Richardson Convention center and on the parking lot of a bank. I asked the Captain by return email why section 30.06(2)(e) did not apply. He has not Replied as of yet. I'm thinking about contacting the Chief next week to ask him for the section of the ...

Re: Richardson Wildflower Festival

Here is a reply I received from the Richardson Police Department (site of the Wildflower Festival) We will not be allowing CHL holders to carry a firearm into a festival. Thank you for your inquiry. Captain Rick Helfers, Richardson Police Department I'm not sure how to challenge this, but it seems t...

Richardson Wildflower Festival

We're planning on going to the Richardson Wildflower Festival tonight. On their FAQ page it says that weapons are not permitted. This is a festival sponsored and put on by the City of Richardson and takes place on city streets as well as the Richardson Convention Center and various parking lots. Can...

Re: Garland gun range target of media smear campaign

It's been documented that people shoot at the power lines that run right behind the range, as well as birds in the area. The problems are definitely not with the 99% of responsible shooters. It's the odd knucklehead that screws things up and could possibly kill someone. It's the combination of rais...

Homeowners Insurance Coverage of Firearms

I checked with my insurance agent about the coverage provided for firearms under my homeowners policy. They advised that up to $2500 of coverage is provided but additional coverage was available for about $2 per $100 value of the guns. Also they would need the serial number, make and model of each g...

Re: Drought to Deepen in Texas (NOAA Winter Forecast)

I Attended a meeting of the Rockwall City Council last week where the head of the North Texas Municipal Water District discussed the drought and the situation at Lake Lavon. Lake Lavon supplies a number of cities around Dallas such as Garland, Mesquite, Rockwall, Wylie, etc He said that computer mod...

Re: M&P 9mm Jamming

Brownell's sells extra power mag springs order one for each magazine you own. Put them in and most probably your problem will go away. I hope your polishing the feed ramp hasn't voided your warranty. Guns have only three enemies - - - Rust, Owners with Dremels, and gun grabbers. I was very gentle a...

Re: M&P 9mm Jamming

I returned the M&P to Smith and Wesson Customer Service for repair. Two weeks after I sent it off, Fedex delivered it to my door, which I thought was very quick service. Smith said they replaced the barrel and tested it without a problem. As a bonus, i discovered that they shipped it back with a...

Re: M&P 9mm Jamming

I've tried it with two of the five mags I have and it did it with both. Will try the other three just to see. I just sent an email to S&W customer service to see what they say. The rounds appear to be pointing slightly upward as they should before inserting the mag into the gun. However once in ...

Re: M&P 9mm Jamming

No I don't reload or use reloads. The Hollowpoints are Speer Gold Dot and the FMJ Is Winchester. I was able to recreate the problem by just racking the slide a few times until it jammed on one round after Ejecting several of the exact same round. I did notice that even though other rounds loaded cor...

M&P 9mm Jamming

My M&P 9mm has developed a problem of intermittently jamming. Once was during a IDPA competition where it jammed the gun and locked it up. We found the round was damaged once we were able to get it out. I was able to duplicate problem and took some photos. It seems to jam more on hollowpoints, h...

Dallas County Records Building

I went to the Dallas County Clerks office today, which is located in the Dallas County Records Building. There are no metal detectors nor 30.06 signage. After entering and making my way to the elevator I noticed on the Building directory listing for Probate Courts on the upper floors. Does the Prese...
