Re: TX: anti gun New Yorker moves here

Texas regulations don’t require background checks for private sales of guns, such as buying from an individual or from some gun shows. If she's going to complain so much, she ought to get her facts straight instead of propagating the gun-show canard. A period after "private sales of guns"...

Chicago's gun buyback

According to an AGG report, William Stewart Boyd traded his father’s old .38 caliber Smith & Wesson snub nose for less than $100 in a gun buyback in 2004. It was supposed to be destroyed, but somehow the same handgun with serial number J515268 was found next to a dead body involved in a police ...

West Virginia legislator wants to hold no-gun-zone proprietors liable for injuries

According to W.Va. Del. Brandon Steele, (R) 29th, legislation is needed to hold no-gun zones accountable in the event of a tragedy. “If you’ve taken away that person’s ability to protect themselves, then it’s incumbent on you to protect them,” explained Del. Steele who is seeking a revision in stat...

Re: Noncompliance Kneecaps New Zealand's Gun Control Scheme

It appears noncompliance continues to be a problem. Further, .22 rifles with up to 0-round magazines were exempted from the ban and have therefore skyrocketed in popularity. They are being imported in large numbers. https://bearingarms.com/cam-e/2019/11/13/many-new-zealanders-keeping-guns-buying/ Th...

You can request a new copy of your current license, so long as you’re more than 2 years from renewal. Maybe the new one will have the star.

To get my new DL, I had to go through a bunch of rigmarole. You need a birth certificate, and not just a photocopy.

What bothers me about fentanyl is that it's so dangerous that I don't understand how anyone works with it. Getting it into a hollow point without killing yourself seems more trouble than it's worth.

I looked it up, and Humboldt County is a long way from Las Vegas or even Reno. The only incorporated town and county seat is Winnemuca, not exactly a household name.

Re: TX:Judge orders man to pay 96k in divorce settlement even though she was married to two other men

It's difficult to understand the outcome, especially given this provision of the Texas Family Code: Sec. 6.202. MARRIAGE DURING EXISTENCE OF PRIOR MARRIAGE. (a) A marriage is void if entered into when either party has an existing marriage to another person that has not been dissolved by legal action...

AARP is a left-wing lobbying organization that sells insurance and offers a few side benefits to obscure its true nature. I won't have anything to do with them.
