Isn't the House where the kill is going to come from as before? Sigh, I need to cheer up.

Re: not allowing students with weapons to attend his classe
He can make rules on such thinks as skateboards or calculators or cell phones All of those directly impact the class content. Ringing phones disrupt class. Using a calcuator is part of the pedagogical nature of the class. Skateboard is a nonissue. If you skateboard or do gymnastics in class - you a...

Re: not allowing students with weapons to attend his classe
Knowing something about the higher-ed business. 1. A prof has no right or mandate to exclude a student on a whim. You would have to document a real cause of action with appropriate higher-ups. So the threat is laughable. 2. It has been brought up several times that current excellent profs would flee...

Re: not allowing students with weapons to attend his classe
It would be interesting to find a psychologist or psychiatrist that would certify he had a weapons based anxiety disorder under the DSM criteria. They would be committing fraud to certify such a disability since he announced he would fake one. He would be subject to fraud laws for this also. Legal g...

Re: What is taking the Senate Committee so long?
While 'they' know we are watching - I'm more cynical. The current majority in the legislature knows that the folks who support gun rights have nowhere to go for an alternative vote. Thus, they may feel free to play the gun rights community, again, by supporting the bills in public and letting the co...

Re: The Virginia Tech Review Panel Report
VT is and was scrambling to cover their butts as they totally dropped the ball on dealing with Cho. Despite clear warning signs they did nothing. They dropped the ball again on another student who killed himself after the Cho incident. By throwing out antigun rhetoric they obfuscate their failures. ...

Re: Licensed open-carry or unlicensed open-carry?
I've yet to see a legal expert think that such a lawsuit is viable. It's promoted on the Internet but that's about it. Can anyone find legit legal scholarship that suggests such a suit is possible? While not open carry - I found an article on parking lot liability from a law review: http://www.law.u...

Re: Action Needed: Employer parking lots
What does private school mean - DeVry, ITT, private colleges across the state? That would take out a lot of folk. It might be a baby step for companies to be covered, but to get the legislature to revisit the issue for schools probably will happen when Perry shoots a mammoth during the Next Ice Age....

Re: SB321 (Parking Lot) on Senate Intent Calendar 3/9/11
Is it the case that Perry doesn't want it to get through despite his support in public? Alice Tripp mentioned that he was asked to put the bills on the emergency whatever and that didn't happen. He put other social interests on it. It reminds me of Bush supporting the AWB and winking that it wouldn'...

It truly was a great class. I feel much better about my 642 as a carry gun now. I'm working up a write-up when I fight through things at work. I want to thank Karl for bring Claude to KRTraining and Claude for his great instruction. Also, the folks in class were really great also. Glenn Glenn Meyer.

Interesting, I e-mailed one of local talk shows about the San Antonio signs, that always blathers about how they support the Second Amend. and shoot guns - blah, blah - tough guys.
Guess what - not even a reply. Money talks now doesn't it.

Red McCombs Hyundai in San Antonio on I-10 and UTSA has a full 30.06 sign. Their Toyota dealership on I-10 and Callahagn
has a small correct wording but 8/5 by 11 printer size notice by the showroom door. It's new.
So I thought Red was some kind of TX gun guy - or is it some corporate lawyer type?
