Re: Arp adds high school clay shooting team
Competitive shotgun shooting is pretty firmly established in a lot of high schools in Texas already. The Youth Target Foundation is one such umbrella organization that's available to schools in Texas and Oklahoma. You can get a lot more information, including whether any of your local schools are al...

Re: Cleburne PD busted Drunk chasing my daughter.
You might suggest she check with her school's Student Affairs office, or the Student Union to see if self-defense/martial arts are taught on-campus. Also the PhyEd/Athletics folks may have courses available, as well.Deltaboy wrote:I will see about some more classes this summer. She is off at College.

Re: Best route through Houston.
BTW - I second the suggestion to arrive in Galveston the day before. We did that over a Christmas cruise a couple of years ago. We stayed at the Inn at the Waterpark, one of the hotel/motels that offered covered parking for our vehicles behind a security fence. Turned out they had great security, co...

Slight problem with LTC as ID!
I tried using my LTC to early vote last night, but ran into a slight problem... DPS still (after more than 45 days) hasn't sent me an LTC or Driver's License with my new address on it. Luckily, my voter registration card had the correct address.

Re: Trump or Clinton--our own poll
Why does everyone keep repeating the "fact" that Trump is self-funding his campaign. He's not. I keep getting two or three "Emergency Fund Requests" from The Donald each week. I did not know anyone was still saying that. He self-funded up to the primary. Once he secured the nomi...

Waco-area man finds out carrying at school stadium = no-no
Seems like one Waco-area CHL'er didn't pay attention in class... http://www.wacotrib.com/news/police/police-man-arrested-after-bringing-gun-into-midway-stadium/article_37ac18a2-4b31-5e0f-a58d-02529369bcd3.html Note: the offender, in this case, was also apparently inebriated, and after being given a ...

You know what they say about opinions being similar to a part of one's anatomy....
Everyone's got one.

Re: Breaking - Ryan Told Support Trump Or Else
Multiple networks just announced that Ryan has been told by a couple of key House supporters that if he doesn't fall in line and support Trump that he risks being voted out as Speaker of the House. Wow! They had to try like heck to get him to take the job in the first place, and now they're threate...

Re: Motorcycle accident interactions
:cheers2: Here's to hoping for a swift recovery. That's an interesting point about the ambulance and your firearm. What would they have done if no one could have come to take possession of it, wait for the police before examining or treating you? That sounds like a law suit waiting to happen due to...

Re: OK: Tulsa LEO Charged with Manslaughter
Interesting. It looks like they've skipped the grand jury option and just flat out charged her. So, who pays for her defense? Most police officers belong to some sort of union (or in Texas, where public safety unions are prohibited, an "association") which provides for legal coverage in t...

Re: Register to Vote!
I think my parents would disown me if I ever failed to vote. :txflag: You think you've got it bad? My late wife would haunt me forever if I failed to vote, especially this presidential election year! She had decided that her first non-official act after retiring from the local school district (wher...
