Re: The Bradys are excited: Time to get to work.

It gets down to the simple fact that if I were a convicted felon gang-banger I could easily purchase a weapon at or outside of a gunshow as long as I keep it a private matter. If you were a convicted felon, you could also probably have contacts in the black market and could buy a firearm that had b...

Re: Guns In the National Parks

I just heard a short blurb, but I believe it said the bill has passed the House, and is now waiting on Obama to sign. Yep and assuming he signs it (he certainly will), it goes into effect on Feb. 10, 2010. Sarah Brady is not happy, which puts a smile on my face! :hurry: Chas. "rlol" :chee...

Re: 100th Post

It was just your standard 350 small block, until it dropped a valve. Metal doesn't compress like a gas/oxy mixture...instead it goes BOOM! and does this to your cylinder wall: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a249/Arcturus74/DSC01074.jpg I want a 9 sec car too, but a 10 bolt rear, 4 wheel drum brak...

Re: The Bradys are excited: Time to get to work.

I am going to stir-up a hornet's nest here, but here goes... I have noticed that the majority (99.9%) of posters on this forum absolutely and unequivocally believe that there is in reality no "gunshow loophole". Being a relative nOOb/novice to gun shows I have patiently read the posts on ...

Hey, they have to find something to get excited about since they can't go to a Federal park anymore without staring a loaded AK-47 in the face on their hiking trips!

MIP is a class C and therefore won't disqualify you.

Not sure about the other thing though, sorry I can't help with that.

Welcome to the forum. :tiphat:

Re: Gun safety advocate breaks one of the golden rules

Wow. I don't care if I've triple checked that a gun is unloaded, I would never point it at myself or anyone else and actually pull the trigger to "prove" it was unloaded. Sad story...I just don't understand some people. I agree - I don't care if I was 101% sure the gun was "unloaded&...

Re: SB 1164 Campus Carry in floor debate NOW

So where was Ogden? Hope it was important... I can't understand Senators in districts with major universities bowing to liberal academia that will never vote for them anyway (for the Republicans anyhow). And students are pretty much split on the issue of campus carry and most don't vote, so that ca...

Re: Bad LEO Encounter last night

I'm confused by them asking for the locations of all firearms in the house when responding to a call? Are we legally obligated to tell cops this? He wouldn't have even had a chance to lecture your wife about "unsecured" firearms if he didn't get told exactly where they were... Very unpleas...

Congrats!! :tiphat: I need to send my girlfriend to one of your classes. She understands the need for self defense, but is still afraid of firearms (grew up in California  ).

Very cool to see someone from Texas honored by the NRA.
