Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
Keep in mind, this whole atrocity of a special council was born from Comey providing his notes and papers to a friend so his friend could release them to the media. Comey's motivation was to ensure a special counsel would be appointed.

If there's a shred of bi-partisanship left in the halls of Congress, a shred of journalistic integrity within the media and any shame remaining in the Democrat party, no one will rest until people are indicted, tried, convicted and put in prison for this sham perpetrated upon the President of the United States and the citizens of this country.“If you are going to investigate a presidential campaign, and on a charge as grave as collusion, and with the heavy-handed tactics the FBI employed--you'd better have a highly convincing reason to act,” tweeted Strassel. “The Mueller report is a judgment that never was any real evidence.”

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
As time has gone on, it has become abundantly clear this had nothing to do with Russian collusion. It was just nothing more than a witch hunt and hit job designed to unseat a sitting president that was properly elected. Very disturbing how our legal system has been weaponized for political purposes.philip964 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2019 9:17 amRussia investigation started around here. Barely a month into his office. The USA has done that in foreign countries for a very long time, even to the point of supporting overthrowing the goveremts in place.
What am I missing that makes this so suprising and egregious?
Little did we realize this would blow up into a Special Council so soon into his Presidency.
For the First Monday in two years Trump can come to work without this hanging over his head.
God Bless America.

Trump walks away.
Rule 1 of negotiation- you have to be able to just walk away.

I bet Cohen spends quite a bit less than 3 years in prison. On top of that, I bet the time he serves will be at a country club prison for white collar crooks.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
For the record, it would not surprise me if the dems do not live up to their side of the deal. If they don't, it would not surprise me if Trump doesn't follow through on declaring an emergency and building yhe wall.philip964 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 25, 2019 3:35 pmTrump said if the three weeks passes without a deal for the wall he will declare an emergency.jason812 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 25, 2019 3:21 pmYou should hear the can rattling as its kicked down the road. Just a thought: How about Congress actually follow the Constitution and pass a budget? Then this won't happen.
This is just my opinion as I have grown to not trust what politicians say. It no longer surprises me when they do not do what they say. However, I hope I am wrong and the dems will honor their commitments and if they do not, I hope Trump will.
I have no proof anyone will not do what they say. Just my skepticism at work.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
In my opinion, this exemplies why the scope of the investigation should have been limited to the specific issue of collusion with Russia. Instead, it appears he has carte blanche to fish for anything that he can come up with and claim wrongdoing.philip964 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 6:56 pmKnow the enemy. Understand the hatred out there.

Apparently Mueller is looking into the NRA influence on the election.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
I've got a great sense of humor. However, It never involves mocking God.Suri wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 5:31 pmOops sorry, this is being taken way too seriously. Where's your sense of humor? Heck, this was not even political or nearly as bad calling Cruz a liar or making fun of his wife or suggesting his dad might be involved with JFK assassination. What do folks watch on TV for laughs???bblhd672 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 9:55 amStupid and insulting. Describes both Kimmel and the skit.Suri wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 1:31 am On the Jimmy Kimmel show tonight there was a skit where God and Satan did rock/paper/scissors to decide who should get Ted Cruz when the time came. God did rock and Satan did scissors so God won. Then God says "well, he's all yours" to Satan. Satan says "hey wait, you won!". God says "he's yours, I couldn't stand that face for all eternity". It was pretty funny.
This is getting way off topic so I would welcome enlightenment via private mail... TIA
Also, one must consider the constant negative shots the liberal propaganda machines like Kimmel and SNL continually take at conservatives.

I think we need to shut the government down for about a month or two to help us determine the "non-essential" jobs and then eliminate them. However, bought and paid for "representatives" would never do that.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
Interesting how politicians that work to fulfill their campaign promises are villainized. Ted is one politician that has stands on principle and works hard to keep his promises as much as he can. Unfortunately, that makes him the butt of stupid skits and insults among the shallow thinkers. Apparently, many want the same old lying politicians that tell people what they want to hear so they can get elected and then do whatever they want once in office.
Is Cruz perfect? Absolutely not. However, I think he is much closer than most of his colleagues in Congress. I also believe mocking God in such a way is abhorrent.

In some states all you need in order to register to vote is a driver license. Some states issue driver licenses to illegals. See how that works.Suri wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 2:41 amAgreed, but how could illegals help a voter base?03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 1:44 amIt seems to me the Dems don't want a wall. They appear to be concerned about increasing their voter base through illegal immigrants. The American people want the wall built.
I saw the little back and forth and agree, it was pointless.

Which Democrat do you want to see in the White House? What do you think that Democrat will do to our gun rights?
May not want to cut off your nose to spite your face.
