Re: TX: Austin man defending his home with rifle from burglars shot and killed by police
Give the circumstances: Report of a man with a rifle at a house. Upon arrival the police hear two shots. A man with a rifle appears at the corner of said house. Although the man did not point the rifle directly at the LEO, the rifle is at a low ready in the general direction of the LEO. So, is the ...

Maryland teen sleeping with firearm
I found this story interesting. In what realm is this weapon a "rifle", much less an SBR? Given that it's Maryland, it may be illegal regardless, of course. https://www.foxnews.com/us/maryland-teen-found-sleeping-ar-15-taken-custody-police-bedroom?dicbo=v2-46c310f54fc7327daa661de4bc557250

Does the theft at night concept apply if the stolen property belongs to another person, and you have not been asked to protect that property by that other person?

Re: Heller Wins Against DC Ammunition Restrictions
This is a good win against a nonsense law. As I read the law, if a concealed carry permit holder buys a single box of ammunition (50 rounds) they could not legally carry that box to their home.

This type of thing increases the danger of "no knock" warrants tremendously.

Re: Beretta 92X - Talk me out of it (or into it!)
This gun was put on my wish list when I was in the Army back in 1987. I finally got it last year. I have zero regrets in doing so. I like the unique styling with the exposed barrel. Sorry, but I can't talk you out of it.

Re: After Supreme Court ruling, it's open season on US gun laws
Hypothetical question. If the US government decides it's a good idea to follow Australia's lead and ban guns, at what point do citizens use their guns to shut that nonsense down? I think the real question is "what percentage of US citizens will actively resist". My guess is that it will b...

Re: ATF Released New Proposed Pistol Brace Rules
I am not for sure how the ATF came to just write a memo and it is law. What happened to the House, the Senate, and the Presidents signature? There are three ways laws come into being. The categories are: 1) Legislative Law - Enacted by congress 2) Executive Law - Executive Orders and rulings by exe...

Re: Court challenge to remove 30.06 etc signs and post 'gunbuster' signs instead.
There is no signage requirement for a property owner to ban guns from their property. And there never has been. The only signage requirement is for property owners who want to use law enforcement resources to enforce their personal preferences about the exercise of individual rights by their custome...

Re: ATF Released New Proposed Pistol Brace Rules
I am not for sure how the ATF came to just write a memo and it is law. What happened to the House, the Senate, and the Presidents signature? The answer is that its not a law. At least not until after it has been tested in a court. To my knowledge that has not even happened with "bump stocks&qu...

Re: Medieval Times in Dallas posted?
Did they have metal detectors or wands? If I missed the sign concealed is concealed! If by some chance you need deadly force, who cares about the law. Survival is the goal! I don’t want to detail this topic, but I wonder if you kissed the sign and walked by it. While inside you were forced to use d...

Re: Clarence Thomas's long victory
It seems that the open flouting of the constitution that we are seeing in NY and CA should justify a judicial pre-emptive review of their proposed new gun restrictions, like what happened with voting laws in southern states after the end of the Civil War. I know that these new laws have no actual fo...
