Re: Federal judge rules police cannot detain people for OC
Not to be dense (though, at times, I am) What does this mean for Texans? Obviously we can't OC handguns here at the present time, but what about longarm carry? Will this mean that we shouldn't worry about the 'investigative stop' scenario here? just curious. I don't know that it means anything for ...

My thoughts exactly. He's the legislative equivalent to radio's "shock jock" and he's just looking to get into the news. IMHOKythas wrote:Wouldn't this also create a de-facto gun registration? After all, if you're not on the "I don't own a gun" registry, then it means you do own a gun.

I saw the link to the ballistic gelatin test. Can you say "over penetration?" A very impressive round it is, but too risky for anything behind whatever you're shooting at. Now, if you need to shoot through a car door to get the BG then this is your round.

Re: La Marque LEO shoots woman playing with her dog
Throwing a donut would probably get the attention of the dog and DEFINITELY get the attention of the cop and stop his shooting. However, the dog and the LEO might then start fighting over the donut. :biggrinjester: (I can say that since I used to get those jokes told on me. LOL) That's just too fun...

Re: A disappointing State Fair episode 10-1-09
At some point, hopefully soon, this situation will be resolved. But how, and what are some of the possible outcomes? Here are some possibilities. Which choice do you think the State Fair will pick? 1) Purchase numerous 30.06 signs and post all entrances of our Texas State Fair. Big Tex says “Howdy”...

Re: A disappointing State Fair episode 10-1-09
Since my initial responses from two Dallas city council members' offices things have gone up a notch. From council member Jasso's office, after I presented current statutes in yesterday's e-mail, I was asked if I personally had an incident and that she had forwarded my concerns to the city's attorne...

Re: A disappointing State Fair episode 10-1-09
Good evening everyone. I received replies from two council members offices. Elsa Cantu Executive Assistant to Councilmember Delia D. Jasso Ms. Cantu erroneously referred me to pre-2007 laws that stated licensees could not carry on the premises of an amusement park. I politely responded back to her t...

I wonder how ticked off they would be if you took them all of the pertinent statutes that allowed you to leave your weapon in your vehicle on the campus lots and showed them?
