I didn't see any escalation on the part of the victim, (it appeared) he was just sticking up for himself. I noticed they did, however, *add* "VETERAN" to mine when I renewed in August. That wasn't there previously, even though I paid the lower cost as an honorably discharged vet and proved my status both times with my DD-214.
