Re: The New Rule book for IDPA

Is there a Cliff's Notes version of the changes or some kind of crosswalk of them? My club held a classifier earlier this month under the "old" rules, but I could not attend. I doubt if there is a cliff notes version, but the rule book is fairly clearly divided so that one can read up on ...

Re: Best ammo for .45 ACP Personal Protection

Comments about shot placement being a higher priority than any particular type of ammunition is important to remember. 230 gr. ball ammunition has certainly been recognized as an effective defensive round for a long time before the modern variations appeared. I spoke to a technical rep at Corbon HQ ...

Re: My wife really loves me!

Mine too! Early in our marriage, now going on 33 years, my wife bought me a Remington 760 Gamemaster pump 30.06. It ended being a wonderful choice and is still my primary hunting rifle. A couple of years ago she bought me a Ruger Mini-14 to replace one that I had before I was married, and which I ha...

Re: WTB Comp-tac shirt tucker STRUT j-hook for Infidel

Thanks, George.

I just found some Kydex (.125") at knifekits.com. I got a 12" square for $14 delivered. It should be a pretty straightforward cut and bend project for just the strut. Not sure I am up to holster construction but a strut should be do-able..

Thanks again.

WTB Comp-tac shirt tucker STRUT j-hook for Infidel

No, I am not the Infidel. Well, perhaps I am, but I am referring to the shirt tucker strut for the Infidel holster from Comp-tac. I am looking for the j-hook style. Comp-tac is not making the j-hook any longer and I happen to like that feature. I am looking for one that is yet undrilled for mounting...

Re: Anyone with experience with a Guide Rod Laser Sight?

I have a LaserMax guide rod laser for my Glock 30 (45 ACP). Functionally, regarding the operation of the firearm, it has never had any noticeable effect. Everything worked normally. As for the plastic parts, the original Glock parts it replaces are also plastic so no issue. As far as accuracy, I wou...

Marcus Luttrell / Patriot Tour in Austin-a review

First of all, let me apologize for being so long winded. I was simply so impressed that I wanted to share just a bit of a truly memorable evening. I cannot do it justice, but I hope you get a bit of the glow I still carry from hearing from these wonderful people and being in the same room with like ...
