Re: Concealed Carry Purses
I've had great luck finding purses for Mrs. Iunnrais at the Ft Worth gun shows. More so actually than I've had finding items for myself.

Re: When America understood warship building
The Bismarck bow on is an impressive sight. I'll take one of our last 8 BBs though - the South Dakotas and Iowas. North Carolina and Washington are good looking too (but a little lighter on the armor)

Re: Zombie Killer
My main AR is on the heavy side. Mainly due to the barrel (20" heavy) and the large optic on top. Not my first choice for roaming a field, but perfect for a fixed position (hog stand) and taking accurate shots across wide fields. I'd not intended that, but the barrel availability at the time dr...

Re: VPN recommendation for Chromebook and iPhone
I’ve been using NordVPN for several months now thanks to needing to travel for business overseas. For iPhone and iPad (plus windows PC) it seems to work quite well. Easy to install and simple to use. For generic use, I generally have it connect to the fastest local server. I did find that while over...

I've been using the Shapeshifter Ankle holster for most of the year with my Walther PPS. Love it and have had 0 issues.

Re: Revolver rust
Depending on the level of rust, I might be tempted to try the boiling water method the Mark Novak uses over on the 'Anvil' series on the C&Rsenal youtube channel before having S&W re-finish it. I'd definitely not try anything more aggressive myself. I'm paying for that lesson with my Grandad...

Re: This is How Custer Must Have Felt
That's very close to the scenario that made me invest in a 6.8spc AR... Went out to the farm with my .45-70 to help my dad out and shoot a pig or two... Seeing several dozen come across the fence line when you've only 4+1 in the rifle and 6 .44 Mag in a revolver isn't a great feeling. It's much bett...

Re: Pistol Caliber Carbine Roundup
I've got two hanging around these days. First is my Marlin 1894 in .44 Magnum (which hangs out with my S&W 629). Probably my favorite gun to date. Depending on load (and reloading makes .44 affordable), it can go from very mild range plinking gun to a decent close in deer/hog rifle. I'm happy wi...

Re: Beto: Mandatory Gun Buybacks if Elected President
I just did some really quick and dirty research and math. Between 2000-2914 5.7 million ARs were sold. At $500 each each that would be 3 trillion dollars. Well, he did not say how much he would pay did he. I'd imagine that since they would all eventually be ground up and no 'legal' market to sell t...

Re: Excess guns
Well, the first one that comes to my mind is my Marlin 1895G Guide Gun in .45-70 Gov’t. I’ve wanted one for years, and the one I own now is a VERY nice pre-Remington JM stamped example, but I’ve found that I just don't enjoy shooting it. I never used to be recoil sensitive until I bought this rifle...

Re: Colt Delta Elite 10mm
I like 10mm in general and have a Glock29 in my rotation. When I picked up a Colt for my 40th several years back, I tried hard to find a Delta Elite but ended up with a Rail Gun. It's still on my wish list.

Do we have links to those court cases? I'd like to send them to a friendly neighborhood sheriff in my home town where the county buildings are posted.

Re: Rainy day. Decided I had too much money. Had a holster made for my large model 28
Could very well be. It's a 629-1 circa 1981/1982. I lucked into it at the DFW Cabelas several years back. It's done very well for me after I spent a few hours cleaning all the lead from the barrel. I really need to get a better holster for it for the rare times I want to carry it. It's been nice to ...

Re: Rainy day. Decided I had too much money. Had a holster made for my large model 28
Ahh, I did the reverse with my 629. It came with the old style pachmayr rubber grips, but they've aged from rubber into rock and tended to pinch along the seam when firing. I replaced them with a set of Miculek's competition grips which have been quite nice.
