Re: Senior U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia found dead

I kind of hope that one can rest in peace after passing regardless of what is said about you by the still living. The only thing worse than irresponsible, ill-informed press speculation is irresponsible, ill-informed press speculation that happens to be accurate. I wish things were different. Only ...

Re: Turkey shells Syria

Beiruty, I can't disagree with you. It's been screwed up since WWI, because the western powers and Russia have meddled constantly.

Re: Turkey shells Syria

Not to be cold hearted about it, Beiruty, but the militant jihadists have routinely used hospitals and mosques as safe shelters, because US ROE won't allow attacking them. The Russians have no such compunctions. So they'd better figure out there is no safe place and get out. The US has screwed over ...

Re: Senior U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia found dead

I often sleep with a pillow over my head when I'm traveling. I have a really hard time going to sleep in strange surroundings, with the sounds of unfamiliar machinery and the hall lights shining under the door and the outside lights shining through the cracks in the drapes. I don't think there's any...

Re: Senior U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia found dead

Cmon guys. Not here. Please. Scalia was 79 years old. He died surrounded by friends and admirers who had all enjoyed the day together. The owner of the ranch said he appeared to have died peacefully. The Sheriff and his deputy assured the County Judge that there was "absolutely" no sign of...

Re: How This ‘Gun Rights Group’ Is Profoundly Damaging Your Second Amendment Rights

Seems to me that if the NRA and NAGR are working for the same thing it might help everyone if they worked together? Also seems to me that the NRA has many many compromises with politicians that are not in our best interest. I stopped re-upping my NRA membership over some of their "sales" ...

Re: Psychiatric Care Questions

With the DPS you're better off disclosing than not disclosing. I would provide them with whatever medical diagnosis your doctor has made and the names and daily amounts of any drugs you are prescribed. Since the doctor speculated on the mood disorder, I doubt that would be in the diagnosis, although...

Corporate policy for Sams and Walmart is to follow state law. They are not going to post signs.

What a bozo. If he hadn't fired his weapon, he might have actually gotten away. By drawing attention to himself, he didn't even make it out of the parking lot.

Re: Texas3006.com entry statistics for the month of January

For those thinking that this isn't so bad, consider this. In December and January, 869 30.06 signs were reported. In the previous two months 33 were. So the number of signs entered into the site increased 26.33 times over the previous two months. To put that in perspective, if you were making $50,00...

Re: Tarrant County Sheriff candidate Bill Waybourn

Whatever you do, please vote. Far too many think their vote doesn't matter. Instead, you should vote and get everyone you know to vote with you. That multiples your impact. If we don't vote, we cede the battleground to the statists, who are slowly sapping away what little rights we have left. This n...

Re: When to get involved as a third person

If you are witnessing something that is potentially illegal, you need to consider first your own safety. Endangering yourself isn't going to help anyone. Secondly, how bad is the situation? Is it life threatening to someone? Is it just a loud argument? Here's a hypothetical. You exit a store headed ...
