Re: Dems threaten SCOTUS over upcoming 2A case

I know those Justices are cut from better stuff than me, but if I sat on that bench I'd rule against whatever the Dems wanted just because of their threat I don't know about "better stuff," whatever that might mean. But my thoughts went down a related line. We might hope that, to discoura...

Re: Australia today!

I would cut them a little slack. They were on an extended hunting trip and got a little lost. I’ve done that before. Yeah, me too. I appreciate the levity, but the larger point is important because it's typically ignored. Those we know as "Native Americans" or "Australian Aboriginals...

Re: News Reports of Texas Gun Laws Taking Effect 9/1/19

A) How convoluted the law was as it was written Simply written, easily understood laws are an aspirational goal. We should strive for them while nevertheless recognizing we'll never entirely get there. I once wrote just one chapter of a code of ordinances for the city for which I was an Assistant C...

We got National Park carry under Obama.

We got a gun accessory classified as a machine gun under Trump.

Draw your own conclusions.
True as far as it goes, but I doubt you would prefer Obama to Trump or Democrats to Republicans, generally. Abjuring the lesser evil gets you the greater evil.

Re: Attorney Andrew Branca Discusses MO Walmart Incident

Branca states: My advice is that you exercise your Second Amendment rights responsibly, like adults who both demand that right and accept the responsibilities that come with it, rather than as self-serving adult-children who want rights without responsibility. Because if the second path is chosen, t...

Re: Death Camps for Trump Supporters

The reliability of Infowars, as a news source, is comparable to that of the National Enquirer. They will pass along anything that is given to them, as long as it fits their agenda, regardless of its validity or truthfulness. There's a followup: PATCHOGUE, NY — A day after anti-Trump supporter flier...

Re: Are we de facto in more danger from Republicans than Democrats in regard to 2nd Amendment?

Depends on what you mean by "de facto danger." Democrats will always take any anti-gun step they can, up to and including legislating confiscation (let's not get into the difficulties of effecting confiscation). Republicans are the only bulwark, and when they decide to relent on some point...

Also ask the lawyer whether you are turning an exempt asset into a non-exempt one. This bears upon whether the guns could be taken in partial satisfaction of a judgment entered against you.

Ask the lawyer preparing the trust to look into that.

Buying a Used Shotgun

Gun manufacturers aren’t going to love me for writing this, but you don’t have to buy a brand-new shotgun for your home, shop, truck or boat when there are thousands of them in great condition on used-gun racks everywhere. You can pick one up for a song and turn it into an ultimate self-defense sho...

At least some of what you see re drivers with phones may relate to GPS maps. I don't text or make phone calls, but I do sometimes need to rely on GPS.

Re: Have you seen this garbage?

Universal Pictures has produced a film called The Hunt (originally titled Red State vs. Blue State), which begins with rich liberals capturing “deplorables” from red states to hunt down and murder. If you lived in Dayton, Ohio, you might consider this a realistic premise, although I don’t think tha...

Death Camps for Trump Supporters

Numerous fliers that say “death camps for Trump supporters now!!!” have been posted on street posts and parking meters in Patchogue, New York. The fliers feature the threatening text in red and a stylized image of Trump’s face as a skeleton. https://www.infowars.com/death-camps-for-trump-supporters...
