Re: Obama acting on executive action

If your looking for compromise, here is my idea of compromise, and one that may make a difference in gun crimes: 1. Develop an online background check system accessible by citizens, straight up yes or no. No details 100% agree with you - I believe I've proposed the same sort of solution. It's a goo...

Re: EO affect on Gun Trust

Like it has been said, a trust still has the benefits of inheritance and multiple NFA users. As I understand it (not a lawyer etc), the current rules will remain in place for 180 days after the new regulations are posted in the federal register, which should happen sometime in the next couple of wee...

Another vote for Bravo Concealment.

ETA: They have holsters pre-made for popular guns, like the G17, that they'll ship out to you quickly if you want it fast and don't care for custom options.

Re: Who is going to open carry?

Like many have said, I'm most likely to go OWB more often and in general allow a bit more printing. If I do OC, it will be probably only be when I'm in less populated areas or for short time periods (like at the gas station). Even though I don't plan to be much of an OCer, I'm very happy that it wil...

Re: First AR - build or buy?

The fun and satisfaction of building is totally worth it. At least try assembling a lower, it is not hard at all. For parts I tend to go for Bravo Company, Spikes Tactical, Aero Precision, Daniel Defense, and Palmetto State Armory. I tend to buy those parts from Bravo Company, Palmetto State Armory,...

I have nothing against the Beretta, but for that type of pistol I prefer a CZ.

Re: Have You Installed A Reflex Sight On Your Pistol?

The custom kydex holster makers are probably your best best. Just taking a quick look at some websites, Raven Concealment and 4 Corners Concealment already have options for pistol optics. Bravo Concealment doesn't, but it probably wouldn't hurt to ask. I've never shot a pistol with anything but norm...

Re: Poll: What would be your only rifle?

I would go with a 20" AR in 5.56. I have no plans to hunt big game, so the extra power of a .308 (or similar) doesn't do much for me other than cost and weigh more. And with an AR you get all the benefits of parts interchangeability/common platform.

Re: 5.56 Barrel Recommendations

I am thinking about this rifle kit from Palmetto State Armory. Anyone think this is a good barrel for mainly range fun? http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-chf-mid-length-5-56-nato-1-7-ultra-light-moe-defender-rifle-kit.html Yes. PSA's CHF barrels are made by FN and are good to go. I have the 20&...

Nice Beretta! Did you cross shop it against the M2 at all?

I hope you're planning on some 3-gun competitions with that new toy.

Re: John Boehner to resign

I find it simply amazing that so many howl in indignation whenever the phrase "term limits" comes up. Surely there are enough good Americans, men and women, to guide this nation that we don't need to construct a "ruling class" because there are not enough good people to hold off...

Re: West Houston Shooters Club 2 Gun Night Match 12/29

Would it be okay to draw the handgun from a chest rig pouch that holds it vertically? I don't think I'll be able to find a light-compatible holster by then, assuming the handgun needs a light/laser or night vision.

Re: any glock 26 gen 4 issues as a ccw?

Im looking at a g26 for my lady as a car and hopefully carry unit. I had a 27 gen 3 i loved. My concerns in the generation are does the huge mag release pop the mag out in some holsters? I haven't had any problems, granted my holsters don't cover the mag release anyways (not sure if there are other...

Re: Starter AK for $600ish?

I once read that imported AKs are made 922R compliant by addition of American-made trigger groups. Is that true? I don't really know anything about 922R. 922r is one of the more rediculous laws out there that basically says that semi-auto rifles and shotguns with "evil" features are not a...
