Wow, that's actually a genuine patent! Not a very good idea, though!

Re: North Face turns back on TX oil and gas company

Well, the materials that North Face jackets are made from don't grow on trees or animals, so most likely (nylon, rayon, etc) they're made from petroleum base products. And most aren't made in the USA either, so the company isn't too worried about the oil and gas used in the manufacturing process. An...

Re: K31 Swiss Rifle

Agree, these are great rifles. I have one that I bought in 1968 at age 16, from Surplus City in Clovis, NM. Paid $35 for it. A year or so later, I sporterized it. Had the barrel shortened about 5 or 6 inches (that sucker was long!), and typical hunting rifle sights put on it. Wish that I had left it...

5D Tactical is good. Equipment - no recommendation. I have a Bridgeport (clone) vertical mill, so didn't need to buy jigs.

Re: New knife

Another thanks to AndyC for showing/recommending these knives. Really nice craftsmanship on mine! Mine arrived on August 7th, after DHL either lost it temporarily or mis-delivered it. Tracking showed it was delivered to my house on August 5th, but no delivery person showed up on my cameras. I filed ...

Stopped for speeding - great experience.

The first time in over 15 years that I've been pulled over by LEO since I got my CHL/LTC. Saturday morning, I was driving to a locally owned tire store in McKinney that I like to give my business. I was on a side street that I use only occasionally, and didn't realize that the speed limit had been d...

Re: What are the options if someone stole my garage door remote?

I have never left a remote in one of our vehicles since. I hope you can get your opener reprogrammed before they decide to come back. What if you can't take the garage door remote out of the vehicle? My 2012 Toyota Tacoma and my wife's 2017 Ford Explorer both have Homelink garage door openers built...

Re: CZ fans tell me what you think

I have 97BD (.45 cal), and these in 9mm: 85 Combat, 75 (pre-B, no firing pin block) and my EDC is a 2075 Rami. In CZ designation, B means firing pin block, and D means decocker. The 2075 Rami has both. All very reliable, never a problem, they all eat any ammo I feed them. Probably the best feeling h...
