Re: When is my handgun on or about my person...question?
Thanks again for all the replies (especially yours, Leakywaders). I'm probably reading the responses incorrectly, so let me dial it in for maybe a clearer answer: I understand the legal impairment BAL is .08 and officer can use discretion when deciding if the driver is in violation, even if under ....

Re: CHL Classes on Sunday? (Houston Area)
If it was me, it would be worth it to rearrange my schedule to take Mr. Cotton's class down at PSC shooting range. If I recall correctly, he usually teaches a class the first Saturday of a month. In my mind, the most important material covered in the CHL class is covering how to legally carry: wher...

I'm the father of a murdered child. I've done nothing but track violence in America since my son was murdered. We have a serious problem with guns in this country... and the NRA solution to arm every grammar-school 80-year-old teacher with a gun is absolutely ludicrous. http://www.breitbart.com/Big...

Re: Yahoo News is not a big 2nd Amendment fan
last week sometime I counted like 16 stories about guns on their front page, majority of them were anti-gun stories. Even mentioned it to few friends cause was amazed at how many stories about same thing. edited: surprisingly just went and counted as I scrolled down and today only 3 stories :iagree...

Re: Finally
Congrats. Ridiculous wait time though. I'm going on just over 3 months waiting. Ironically my friend did all his stuff two weeks after I did and he got his today; mine still has yet to begin being processed according to the website. The CHL division of Texas DPS is a pretty shoddy operation if you ...

Re: LEO needing CHL/Out of state license
Not so sure I'd be posting my frustrations with my employer/future employer on a public forum lime this. As a cadet in the academy hoping to get on permanently once I graduated I'd be real careful what I posted. Ok? Not sure how you got that out of me talking about the sig 226 and not looking forwa...

That's the only way to fix this problem even if the expired instructor renews he can't issue another 100 without he gives the class to these folks again.infoman wrote:They have to take a new class over again. I know this for fact.

The point I unsuccessfully tried to make w...

Re: New User Several General Questions
If you REALLY want to know the "skinny" on CHL in Texas, you need to do whatever it takes to attend one of Charles' classes on the subject. This is not his CHL class (which is probably excellent also, but I cannot say first-hand), but a couple of times per year he does a "special&quo...
