Re: You think she'll ever touch a gun again?

:cheers2: I too am pleased with the response. I received the video as a "you've got to see this. it is so funny". While I can see the humor in her (obviously) overreaction, the basis of the video itself is completely disturbing. Finger on the trigger, one in the chamber, and you throw blac...

Husband is teaching wife about handguns, tells her not to mess with it. Looks like she puts one in the chamber...anyways, he decides to get revenge.

Final Part of the Background Investigation?

So I'm at 71 days now and have been constantly contacting my reps and the DPS CHL office themselves from Day 60...not to nag, but...well...I guess it is nagging. I got a reply from same gentleman I always get a reply from, Mr. Christopher P. Super nice guy and always quick to reply. He has informed ...

Proper Cleaning Techniques

I tried to search for it, but "Cleaning" and "Gun" come up with 70+ pages of results. Is there any type of documentation on the proper technique of cleaning Semi Autos? I generally field strip each one every 50 to 100 rounds (usually that's one trip to the range), hit it wi...

Re: Squib Load!! Disaster avoided - story at 10:00!

In the Army, we had to clean our weapons prior to turning them in. After having that drilled into me, I automatically clean whatever guns I fired upon returning home from the range. To me, that's just part of the range trip. I can't not do it; I wouldn't be able to sleep. same here...it was drilled...

Due to a death in my wife's family, we won't be able to attend either. I'll be keeping an eye out for future classes though.

Re: WOAI News in San Antonio

This type of test pops up every few years and people act surprised at the results. You would get the same reaction from the kids if you used a large knife, a gun or a telephone. Kids are going to be kids. I would not leave a loaded gun in a room with kids, but there is also a lot of other things I ...

WOAI News in San Antonio

You'd think they were part of the "Al Franken Television Network" with their fear mongering and sensationalism. http://www.woai.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=1060abbe-8811-43fb-b557-e5eaa248f273 Law enforcement officers say "Cheaper Than Dirt.com" could make it easier for ...

Re: Reprsentitive Charlie Gonzalez

You do know he is a U.S. Representative, not a Texas house representative? He is F rated by the NRA-TSRA. Your recourses if he doesn't communicate is to write a critical letter to the editor and support and vote for someone else. - Jim I feel like a complete moron now...It just dawned on me that he...

Reprsentitive Charlie Gonzalez

Has anyone been able to contact him? I've tried twice now and I never hear back. What kind of recourse do we have if they never respond?

I've got to stop buying guns!

So I've gone from buying laptops, hard drives, and an assortment of geek gadgets to buying guns. In 3 months, I've gone from nothing to the following: Springfield XD .45ACP S&W SW9VE Sigma 9mm (my first one...yeah, it is not the best but I'm keeping it!) Rossi .38 Special Bersa Thunder .380 (got...
