Re: SLAM FIRE?
There has been some petty and borderline personal attacks on this thread. I sincerely hope that the two members participating in this are finished or the thread will be finished.

Re: We may have a convert!!
I was talking to one of the ladies in our small (cell) group at church. She was telling me that she didn't want a gun in her house because that wouldn't be trusting God to take care of her & her family. I offered her an alternate way of looking at it: if you lost your job, you wouldn't sit in y...

Re: Conceal methods for women
I have discovered the joy of underarmor type undershirts. Don't know where they have been all my life! I am very shortwaisted! However I am "blessed" in other areas, I do believe this helps with the concealement somewhat - I carry IWB at about 1-1:30 or 11-ish cross draw. Can carry all da...

Comp-tac's Infidel is a great holster very simple and surprisingly comfortable.

Re: Conceal methods for women
gymnst, There is a whole thread about purse carry in the "Ladies Only Forum". One question to keep in mind when considering the cost of carry devices whether holsters or purses: "How much is your life worth?" I have seen so many CHLers buy great guns, go through all kind of check...

I really, really, really want a Kimber Eclipse compact, but those things are expensive. My GF told me she would go half with me for my bday (It's on June 28th) so I wonder if she'll give in.. Although if I do this, I will have to purdy much do everything she says. Like.. cook, clean, take out the t...

Re: Down to two....STI Ranger II or Kimber Super carry pro?
Why not get an STI 2011? It is a double stack 1911. Then the year you bought your gun and model number will match.

Re: Advice in picking out right gun/pistol for my needs
The biggest issue I have with the XDs is they are a pain to clear malfunctions due to the grip safety (if you have small hands). I know this by experience with student's XDs in my classes. I also believe the recoil isn't as easy to manage compared to M&Ps, Glocks, and 1911 style handguns. this i...

Re: Academy handguns on sale January 30 - February 5, 2011.
I went by Academy ready to buy the Stoeger Cougar. The counter guy didn't know much about the sale, especially the 4 included mags, tho. When I handled it, it felt great but I had to pass because my hand was just a bit on the small side, I guess, because with my shooting grip, I couldn't press the ...
