Re: Tailoring summer weight suits for CC
When I buy a new suit or sport coat, I always wear my typical gun and holster. I tell whoever is doing the alterations that I need to be able to button the jacket without the gun printing, so he knows not to take it in too tightly. Naturally, this means buying a larger size than I would buy if I was...

I've Been Doing This How Long?
I was asked the other day how long I have had my instructor certification, and I had to stop and think. I can't remember exactly what year I attended my class, or how many renewals I have been through. How can I check to see when I first got certified?

Re: Marine Veteran needs help on eligibility
Unless I am mistaken, isn't it still the rule that you are ineligible if you have had two or more convictions for a drug or alcohol related offense in the prior ten year period? Sounds like these weren't convictions, so the "legal" reason shouldn't come into play. As for the "medical&...

Re: TX: Package bombs in Austin
What right do they have to shut down the neighborhood? I could understand the immediate area around the blast until evidence could be collected, and keeping rubberneckers out of the area, but if you have ID and can prove that you live there, you should be able to come and go as you please as long as...

I hope they make some in stainless instead of (or in addition to) nickel plated. Love to have one.

Try a lightweight Ruger LCR in .357 will full house 158 grain loads. You will remember the experience.

Re: Customer Brass
I met a student at Liberty Armory in Houston the other day because he is a member there. They had a sign that said something like: "No picking up of brass. It is a safety issue!" I'm not a member there and I didn't want to get my student in trouble with his range, so I withheld my desire t...

Re: Texas Carry Executive Director sued for filing signage complaint against Waller County
I am so happy to see that the judge (a former friend before all of this) was slapped down publicly. Too bad a judge who makes such bad rulings can't be forced to pay attorney's fees. Or a district or county attorney who pursues a frivolous case like this. The taxpayers always foot the bill.

Re: discharge ordinance Caldwell county (Lockhart)
I have probably heard some old wive's tales about this that aren't correct, but I have always heard about a rule concerning 50 acres or more for a shooting range in an unincorporated county area. Is that totally wrong?

Re: NRA Against Bump Fire Stocks?
I can't believe that some people would "compromise " away bump stocks for silencers. What other Constitutional rights are you willing to compromise away?
