Re: Public Library in Katy (Cinco Ranch) with a "clever" sign... Grrr
This is why we need to shift the process such that a people owned location must get clearance before they put signs up. As it stands, they get to put up illegal signs, and leave them up while they make completely disingenuous arguments. And there are no repercussions whatsoever as long as they pull ...

Re: Not so hypothetical question regarding right to defend...
You have the right to use force to keep someone from stealing your property, so you are covered to use the THREAT of deadly force, i.e. drawing your firearm. NOT the actual use of deadly force, unless certain conditions apply (items not covered by insurance/invaluable/your life or someone else's is...

Re: TX: 8 yr old picks up rifle and kills woman in next room
Why are people cleaning their guns with guests (that have kids) over? This situation could have been avoided if the guy thought about leaving firearms out accessible to the child. This situation could also have been avoided if the child was taught gun safety. Appropriate at that age would be "...

Re: Boyert Shooting Center
Just wanted to stop back by to clear up one thing. This place takes their closing times very seriously. One post in the linked threads above indicated that as long as you were there before closing, they would give you the full hour. Not true, at least at the Katy location. I stopped in last week 9 m...

Re: Glock 19 Leather Holster
I just ordered an RDWarren holster for my G19. I'm excited because his stuff looks top notch. So you're the one holding up my order :boxing Just kidding. I have been trading e-mails with this guy and he seems to truly be a really good guy. I can't wait til he is able to make a holster and double ma...

Yes Hillary, I understand that you don't need a gun, but most of us don't have 20 armed guards everywhere we go.aaangel wrote:

Re: How to deal effectively with businesses with 30.06 signs
This has been posted before, but it bears repeating. People downplay the negative impact of posting 30.06/30.07 by saying that only 4-5% of Texas residents have a LTC issued by the state of Texas, and a portion of those folks will still patronize a posted business because they either don't carry at ...

Re: GLOCK 26
I have a G26. It's a great gun. A little fat, but fairly easy to conceal. I find a marked difference in accuracy between the G26 and G19, at least for me. But if you are only worried about close in shots (less than 10 yards or so), it is tough to beat the G26, all things considered. My G26 definitel...

Re: Glock like trigger.
I don't know of any products that will simulate a Glock trigger in a S&W Shield. I do know of many solutions to your underlying issue, and most of those have been posted here, and rejected by you.

Re: IN: Burglar sues home owner who shot him
There are contradicting statements in the story about whether the BG admitted to the burglary. That said, if the home owner really did what they claim (shooting into the air, running into an alley and shooting at a fleeing person), he is lucky to have only spent 60 days in jail. As far as civil liab...

The problem is that just about anything could be considered an "educational institution". Life is a learning experience.
Given abuses like we are seeing here, educational institutions need to be removed from the list of people owned properties that can legally ban carry. No exceptions.

Re: Is Verbal Notice Monitored?
So hypothetically speaking, let's say you are given verbal notice for 06/07 at a restaurant. How does that exactly work? How do businesses know who they've given verbal notice to? Is there a process for this where they take your name or license number or something? Is there a verbal notice database...

Re: Driving and Crossing State Lines
Thank you everyone for your inputs. :thumbs2: I didn't know about the Indian Reservations having rules. Although I wasn't planning to stop in those areas, I know now to be careful and adjust in the case that I do have to. Also, I will go through and review the gun laws from both states again before...
