I just saw my status update sometime between 8:00 and 11:00 on a Friday morning. I checked when I got to work and before the lUnch break and I went from waiting for material to BG under review, so I guess we just need to keep looking. I would also not expect anything over the weekend...

And what's up with all the BG checks that started on the 24th? Did they hold them all together and send them out at one time?

Hang in there brother. I just received a FP and BG under review today. I'm seeing listed here as taking anywhere from 4 days to 4 weeks. There is no reason for them to drag this outnlike that... How many addresses have you had? I saw one post that said this could be a cause.

Thanks Seamus, I live in Tarrant County and have been at the same address [abbreviated profanity deleted] 16 years. I have a 30 year old son who has bounced around but clean records on both of us so I hope we won't have a problem. I really feel like a kid waiting for Christmas..

Well, my on line status was updated today to "Background check under review". I have been seeing background checks taking any where from 4 days to 4 weeks... Is this dependant on what they see in you history? With a clean record should it return faster and one with questions take a bit lon...

As of today the DPS web site is showing my application as received along with all necessary documentation. My background check is "Under review"!!!

Now I am pumped!

I sent mine in last week, but I sent it priority so I know from the post office it was delivered. The DPS is still showing my status as waiting for receipt of required materials.
