I, kind sir, will quite ably argue with you that although the sun is indeed quite hot, that water is certainly not set!! :biggrinjester:

Re: alpine shooting range ?

Went on Sunday as a group of 6 and essentially had a concierge for the day. We were escorted on a trailer pulled by tractor (no weight jokes!) and the young man activated the clays and took score which made the time spent fairly relaxing and enjoyable. I saw golf carts but it seemed they were all dr...

Re: Elm Fork shotgun sports

We went to Alpine today because Elm Fork is still closed. Is there any "high ground" there? I'm trying to imagine where they could park the golf carts.

Re: Arrest Warrants for People Who Cheered At HS Graduation

Maybe that's why my parents didn't come......they didn't know I was actually graduating.... That reminds me of a story told about my uncle and grandfather. My uncle made it through his 12th grade year until mid-April and inexplicably stopped attending school. Teachers and classmates begge...

Cuban Missile Crisis

Ok, another day of inclement weather has me at home with AHC (American Heroes Channel) available all day. I happened upon a show called "DEFCON-2...(something or another)" about the period surrounding the Cuban Missile Crisis. It made me curious to know how it may have impacted the people ...

Re: HB 195 411.207 (A) amendment a MUST!

The fact that you have some basic training, background checks, and more importantly the track record of CHL holders since the program started will be critical advantages a licensed OC bill will have over an unlicensed one. HB195 has some major flaws, but OC supporters write them off as minor issues...

:iagree:
The defiance of law by asking forgiveness rather than permission seems to have worked in illegal immigration. What is good for the goose...

Re: Residential High Rise 30.06

I agree with Jim but think (value < .02) the distinction can or should be made between me as a resident and others as visitors with no ownership interest or control. Operating under the OP's assumption of living there: The premises don't fall under the prohibitions of Sec. 46.03 Sec. 46.02 doesn't m...

Re: Part Time LEOs cannot work off duty jobs.

So I either have to find a way to get another 8hrs a week or I cannot work off duty security jobs. Someone please tell me who created this law and why. Just a quick glance from the outside looking in as I'm fairly certain that HR policies would be agin' it, but could you ask your University to give...

Since he was indicted by the "Special Prosecutor" for two felonies? What if he comes up on another coyote while jogging. Guess he could OC a semi AK-47. Can he pardon himself? Inquiring minds want to know. That's actually a good question. He was indicted, not convicted. I wonder a...

Re: Universal remote for TV/DVR etc.

I need to get a universal remote to control our TV, DRV, etc. I'm going to do a little research but first I want to see if anyone has already done the work. Thanks, Chas. We have U-Verse and can use a smartphone or tablet as a universal remote. Depending on your setup, this could be an option you c...
