Re: Docter
I have a Dr in that building. I've never seen anything. If its not posted where it should be, then you have a legitimate argument either way. I've never seen anything at their doors or by the reception desk, and I look pretty hard.

Re: Docter
You are good to go at all Dr. offices, malls, private businesses, churches, etc. provided that they are not 30.06 posted or nobody from that establishment has given you a verbal request/warning. I carry at my doctor, but I keep it in a backpack instead of on me in those situations. The only time I w...

Re: Who has authority to ask you to leave?
I work at a church. My advice is to either stay concealed, or show the pastor (or an elder - maybe one who is pro 2nd amendment?) the law and make a respectful argument for your case. Worst case, you may have to leave your weapon in the car, but hopefully, they are taking the security thing seriousl...

Re: Belts for CC - IWB
Honestly, with the supertuck/king tuck style holsters, you can get by with a thinner belt (but it will sag if it isn't tight enough). The holster itself helps to distribute the weight over a larger area. I carry with gun belts and walmart belts alike wearing t-shirts in the summer and haven't been m...

Re: Springfield XDs opinions?
I carry the XDm 45ACP 3.8 Compact and love it. I'm sure the XDs will not disappoint, but I have no problems with concealment now. Probably won't get one, but then again, never say never!

Re: XDm Compact in 45ACP - opinions anyone?
Try the Pearce Grip Extension (for the XD .45 - it works the same on the XDm) on that small magazine. It really makes the gun more comfortable in the hand because the pinky finger doesn't have to curl anymore. XDm .45 ACP compact is a great carry gun.

Re: Cleaning after carry?
How often depends on how dirty it gets and what kind of gun you carry (Glocks are pretty amazing in that aspect). I clean my carry weapon (XDm) about once every month, or more often if I see any lint build up. XDm's don't need to be babied to remain reliable, but I'm not willing to take any chances ...

Re: In chamber or no?
I carry the XDm .45 ACP 3.8 as well. I always keep it chambered when carrying and never had a problem. Just make sure you have a holster designed for the specific gun you carry. Just make sure to be careful holstering and unholstering - thats where accidents have the biggest potential to happen! Whe...
