Re: Speeding in a School Zone

Many years ago, when I was writing speeding tickets, I did not cut any slack in school Zones.

I Wrote one to a member of my Masonic lodge, who was also a Houston Firefighter.

Re: Wife Sick with Cancer.

I still having one ruff day a week. I cleaned out her side of the Bathroom last week and gave away over 200 bucks or Mary Kay and Esta Lauder stuff. It will probably hit you at odd times from now on. The best I can say is the interval increases and the pain decreases. The only question on each is h...

I wasn't shooting to my full potential when I did it about 1.5 years ago.

I shot 94.8%. I probably should have shot 100/30X, give or take a bit.

Re: AZ: 19 Y.O. Shoots Carjacker with Legally Carried Firearm

Grayling: In Texas, they CAN carry in their vehicle legally. I believe the reason that they were not granted the "privilege" to carry on their person in the general public is because some states would not honor a Texas LTC as a result. This right here. I used to go deer and dove hunting w...

Re: How To Address a Game Warden?

I'm just kind and respectful, but I'm not a very formal guy. On the otherside of the coin, I've never been addressed as Taxpayer Rich by any government employee before. It would be nice to be shown a little respect for all of my hard work too. Every police officer I've had contact with in an offici...

Re: Topographical maps

:iagree: I have a few, that I have had for a while. I keep one in my get home bag, showing the area, between where I work, and live. I used to carry two, due to distance. I need to get more, but like you I find them overpriced. Which to me makes little sense with satellite mapping technology, almos...

Re: Topographical maps

I love topo maps. In the days before cellphones and GPS, I used them frequently as I was an avid hiker/backpacker. Over the years, the ones I had went unused, and I don’t know if I eventually gave them to someone, or lost them in a move, or what. But lately, it’s been on my mind to buy some. I am m...

Re: Colt Delta Elite 10mm

I like 10mm in general and have a Glock29 in my rotation. When I picked up a Colt for my 40th several years back, I tried hard to find a Delta Elite but ended up with a Rail Gun. It's still on my wish list. Been carrying a Delta (Blued/Parkerized version) since 1999. Bought it in 1998. Used it to q...

Nearly 66 years old and still surprise people with my hearing. Not a lack thereof. Sniffer still works pretty well too. In spite of having been a smoker for 42 years.

Re: Wife Sick with Cancer.

Father, we ask that if you must take this lady, please do so without pain. Give comfort and grace to the family she will be leaving behind in this time of sorrow. We know you have a plan for each of us and that this is your will and so it will be done. I stand beside this family and friends in our ...
