Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Regarding the 14 th Amendment, according to one constitutionalist who is much more knowledgeable than me, it was enacted to make former slaves citizens. An executive order in the ‘60’s changed the policy to allow foreigners who had a baby in the US, for the baby to be a citizen at birth. Thus an executive order could reverse that policy to the way it was before. Trump was as surprised as anyone that he could do that. The 14th Amendment was never intended to allow travel agents to set up citizenship vacations for pregnant foreign clients. One friend mentioned that he knew 3 friends who used the cheap travel insurance you can buy to pay for the delivery costs. The US only allows one country citizenship. Many countries don’t care, so you can be a US citizen, yet retain your other passport, while renouncing your foreign citizenship in the US. There is apparently also a lot of contemporary written statements by the drafters of what it was for and what it was not for. I have been trying to explain this to some progressive leftists on Twitter but they refuse to listen and consider that it may actually be the case. Do you have a good source that lays it out in plain English using small words that I can share...

Apologized for comments yesterday. May get rest of 69 mil contract. So you beat on Trump at sort of conservative Fox where you were made a star. Leave Fox for liberal NBC. Now your fired for not being PC enough. No doubt Trump is smiling today. Her ego forced her in to no man's land...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

I love the irony in someone posting about Trump's lies and then supplies a link to WAPO. Same people also quote Huffpo and other leftist propaganda machines to support their positions. I love the way some people dismiss an argument without addressing any of the issue raised. Such automatic dismissals used to be evidence of a closed mind and/or self deception... but in the current age it's more often referred to as Winning! Regardless what anyone thinks of Trump as a person, he has done more for the country in the short time he has been in office than the previous few have done in 8 years. I do not like the guy and I have little to no interest in having dinner with him but at least I am able to acknowledge he has been effective in helping the country. He was not my choice in the primary but once he became the chosen candidate I decided to support him. I voted for him and will do so again if he doesn't completely screw things up between now and election time. Does the mean I like him or that I agree with 100% of what he says or does? Absolutely, no! However, I agree with the majority of what he says and does and I can't say that about Obama, the Clintons or any of the other progressive left leaders. Constantly bashing every little thing about him in an effort to tear him down is counterproductive and harmful to the country. It also says a lot about those that feel the need to tear him down just because they don't like him. From where I come from, that is called cutting one's nose off to spite their face. Here is some reading for you that is not from a liberal propaganda rag. www.whitehouse.gov/trump-administration-accomplishments...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Funny how a couple posters seem to come out of the woodwork at the same time. Here you go. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA5sGtj7QKQ On Dr Patrick Michaels featured in your youtube reference, follow the money... Michaels has acknowledged that a large per cent of his funding came from the oil industry. Fossil fuel companies have helped fund Michaels' projects and his "advocacy science consulting firm". The Seattle Times reported that Michaels received fuel-industry funding, including money from the coal industry to publish his "climate journal". Could Michaels' objectivity be at risk? Sure looks that way. Now you know the rest of the story... :tiphat: Now tell me specifically what facts he misrepresented...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

Why is this not being covered? http://pjmedia.com/trending/senator-cory-booker-accused-of-sexual-assault-by-gay-man/ A gay man who describes himself as a liberal Democrat is accusing New Jersey Senator Cory Booker of sexually assaulting him in 2014. Booker is considered a leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous for now, penned a lengthy open letter that was posted on Twitter. In the letter, he describes the assault that occurred in a bathroom following a meeting at his workplace, where the two met....

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

There was an interesting interview with the President on 60 Minutes yesterday. Worth a look in case you missed it.... https://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-interview-60-minutes-full-transcript-lesley-stahl-jamal-khashoggi-james-mattis-brett-kavanaugh-vladimir-putin-2018-10-14/ Ah, ol' Dale resurfaces. I watch it when it happened. The biased obnoxious Stahl interrupted Trump every time he tried to say something because he wasn't saying what she wants to hear. That was nothing but an attempt at a biased gotcha hit piece. All she wanted to talk about was whatever was negative and wanted to ignore any and all positive. Just like a couple posters on here. Thanks mojo for your astute appraisal of Lesley Stahl and 60 Minutes. Doggone, I used to think 60 Minutes was pretty reputable... but now I see that it's just more journalistic conspiracy against the administration. You are welcome. I knew my comments would be beneficial to those blinded by their own progressive liberal bias and hate for Trump. At one time many years ago, 60 Minutes was considered reputable. That time has long passed...
