Re: California Lege Considering Traffic Fine Based On Income
So if a couple is married and filing taxes separately, and one spouse has no job. Would it be advantageous to have that spouse drive since they have an income of "zero", and could therefore drive faster with less financial risk?

I'm with NNT. I would treat it as a firearm that had no manual safety.

Re: HB1911 Com Substitute
Guys, please keep in mind there are still bills being discussed and there are antis that scan this forum looking for little tidbits that they can use to point out how rabid 2nd Amendment supporters are. Charles has pointed out there is alot going on that we may not know about. Now is DEFINITELY not ...

I'm fortunate that I can wheel my grill in/out of my garage for storage.

Re: History of the Mozambique Drill
There was discussion in another thread about it. It's safe to say that it'll be AFTER the legislative session (and any potential special session/sessions)Mxrdad wrote:Charles, when is your next scheduled seminar? I want to attend and hopefully bring the son and DIL. Thanks

Re: Are Grill Covers Really Needed?
A side note for grill lovers. Don't try cooking a brisket on a NG/Propane grill. They are generally not deep enough. I have a "friend" who has a very nice built in BBQ grill who tried cooking a brisket on it. After a certain amount of time fire was coming from the gas knobs and around the...

Only the Governor may call a special session.steveincowtown wrote: #2> The Lt. Gov. could very easily call a special session that focuses on on gun bills, if he weren't worrying about non issues.
The TxLeg this year was a joke. Plain and simple.

Re: How to talk to Anti's
I presented a WWYD situation to a mother with small children involving an armed criminal in her home. She was very happy with calling the police (unarmed as they might be based on her preference) and waiting for them to deal with the situation. It would be very difficult to feel sorry for victims w...

Re: How to talk to Anti's
I was having a discussion with a buddy of mine. His wife and her friend across the street are adamantly against HB 1911. Their arguments are the same as the police unions and other anti-2a groups. My buddy and I came to the conclusion that people who are emotional and tend to base their decisions o...

Re: OR: Man fined for doing math without a license
The problem this guy had was he called himself an engineer while doing work for the public without having a Professional Engineers license. That is a big no-no with the Engineering Board in any State. If you practice engineering for the public, in the state of Texas (and probably every state in the...

Re: OR: Man fined for doing math without a license
In Texas, if your job title includes the word "engineer", you must have an engineering degree or your company will run afoul of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. I'm not surprised at Oregon, but it is not necessary in all engineering disciplines to be licensed by the state. Wha...
