Re: HB435 Emergency Services Personnel
My opinion of 30.06/7 on publicly open businesses is that it is an unnecessary imposition by the state on a civil matter, but it is the law. But so is HB435 (today!). So if a sign is (legally) defective, or I am truly an ESV, I will blithely ignore it and conceal and carry. The risk is that I am WR...

Re: HB435 Emergency Services Personnel
I hope nobody is so tone-deaf that they open carry past a 30.07 sign without an active emergency at that location. I've been operating under the assumption that "defense to prosecution" is well defined in TX case law (might be wrong here, since I am not a lawyer) and the the vaguen...

Re: HB435 Emergency Services Personnel
Technically you don't have to leave if the reason for asking you to leave is that you're carrying. As a practical matter, the person in charge of the property could just make up another reason. With HB435 if you are truly an emergency volunteer, you can legally carry past almost all 30.06 signs exc...

Re: HB435 Emergency Services Personnel
I am not aware of anyone, ever, being prosecuted for a 30.06 or 30.07 violation that left the premises when asked. Therefore, it would almost make this new, very vaguely written, law moot. Don’t get me wrong, anything that reduces the ridiculousness of 30.06 has my vote, but clearly anyone can claim...

Re: Gen 5 Glock intitial impressions
I was all set to buy one of the Summer Special Glock's with the front serrations and then Glock drops these. Any idea if the magazines are compatible between the generations? I'm going to assume so but I haven't read anything either way. From what I see, all old magazines will work. The problem som...

Re: Is Federal Gearing Up to Attack the Reloading Bullets Market?…
Sorry for the dumb question but I have never reloaded. If I mainly shoot 9mm and pay about 18 to 19 cents each for them, is there any way I can really save money by reloading? I would need to do full metal jacket bullets, the wife would never allow lead.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Gen 5 Glock intitial impressions
Right now it is just the 17 and 19 for Gen 5. There seems to be confusion on what will come next. Some are saying they can’t do bigger calibers than 9mm with the new two pin frame, so who know what happens with that.Soccerdad1995 wrote:Are they releasing all models in a gen 5 configuration?

Re: Gen 5 Glock intitial impressions
Thanks for the review. My wife and I tried the new Gen 5 over the weekend. We thought the same thing, better trigger, seemed accurate out of the box, slide finish seems nice. She wants a 19, I am trying to figure out if it would be better to order it with the Ameriglo Operator sights from the factor...

Same for me. From what I understand you can't use PhotoBucket anymore. They charge a ridiculous amount for hosting pics now, you have to use a different site for your pics.WTR wrote:Pics do not appear for me.

Re: New Gun Range is coming to Allen, TX
I agree about FGC, I tried it many times to see if we wanted to get a membership, but it just seemed to keep going downhill over time. Not the best lighting and ventilation, and they charge a lot for rental guns that are in quite bad shape. We are much happier with Eagle Gun Range and they just open...

Re: S&W Rebate
Since the shield was brought up, I am hoping I can ask a quick question. Don’t have one yet, and I am trying to figure out if it would be better to buy a standard one then add upgraded sights and trigger, or go with the Performance Center ported shield that has those upgrades already? Thanks.

Re: another 30.06 question
I see that ScottDLS brought up the speed limit thing. I was going to mention this as well. It is a sign, that if you do what it prohibits then you are a criminal just the same as if you CC past a 30.06 sign. Are speed limit signs unconstitutional? The speed limit sign has been put up by the governm...
