Re: .45 ACP vs .45 Auto Rim
What he said. The halfmoon and later fullmoon clips work well enough, but some people didn't like working with them. Taking the cases out of the clips before reloading and then putting loaded round in the clips just added steps. The clips also introduce another variable when people are looking for t...

Agreed. The badge and sash are so much more effective.joe817 wrote:I can't believe people are stupid enough to buy a t-shirt like that and wear it.

It's generally a good idea to keep the low-life guessing ... even if they're family.

Re: High capacity mags (> 20 rounds) - Which guns have them?
I'm not a fan of really big extended magazines for which the firearm was not designed. Some of the factories have done it well, like Glock. Some haven't. Getting the magazine body, springs, feed lips, follower, etc, to actually work together reliably is harder than it sounds. There's more to it than...

Re: CHL Class - Their Gun or Mine?
I used the loaner Glock 19 and the free ammunition that came with it - cheaper than burning my own .45ACP!
OK, I dropped one point. Considering that I was shooting a strange plastic mushtrigger, I'll take that score.
Yes, I liked the Glock.

Re: Oh Give Me a Home ...
That's probably why charges haven't been filed - they're figuring out whether buffalo are cattle, and what if any laws were broken. The shooter's going to be toast unless something really interesting turns up. Charges or no, the suit will be expensive. I wonder if the owner is also going to go after...

51 Buffalo Shot Dead in King County
There has to be more to this story. So far, it's all from the animals' owner.
Looks like they're lawyering up.

Re: casting 45 acp bullets
I don't cast, but I do like to shoot cast bullets through my .45. The H&G #68 200 grain semiwadcutter with a bevelled base is my favorite. Accurate, easy to handle, and it cuts clean holes. Lee's 452-200-SWC looks similar. 90310 is the six-cavity version of the mold.

Re: Company implication for use of CHL?
I noticed a letter posted at a customer location recently, telling their employees that company policy no longer prohibited them from having firearms secured in personal vehicles on company property. They still can't carry on their person at work, but this is an improvement. The letter made it clear...

There would likely be a confab between the DA's on both sides of the border. Whichever one has a burr under his/her saddle or sees opportunity will want the case. If both do, you're screwed.
