Re: WTS: Winchester Model 12
This shotgun is still available. I met with Greg today, and can attest to this shotgun being in great shape, especially for it's vintage. Unfortunately, I failed to ask that right questions, and it's not exactly what I am looking for. Greg was very gracious and we parted ways without a sale. The dri...

Re: EDC Backpack - NIP
In case anyone missed it above, I have more of these bags available to anyone interested. I'll update the post when they are all gone.
Maybe I'll post some pictures of what all I carry in mine, which is quite a bit, and it's about 40% full.

Re: Beltman after 1 year
Several years ago I purchased a horsehide belt with the velcro lining. About two years ago or so I bought two more quick delivery belts. While I would forgo the velcro lining on my next custom order, I think that the horsehide option is worth the extra money. All three have been great, but the horse...

If I was on the flight crew I would have had them removed from the plane.

Re: Firearm in checked baggage?
Do not pack loaded mags inside the box if flying AA. The TSA doesn't care, but American will confiscate your ammo unless it is in a plastic or cardboard box with slots for the individual rounds. Don't ask me how I know... :banghead: I didn't check back to see where someone mentioned that above, so n...

Thanks folks, I appreciate the info! The last time I checked firearms was pre 9/11, and I was still on active duty.

Firearm in checked baggage?
Has anyone flown out of DFW recently with a pistol in the their checked luggage? If so, how long did it take to check in? Did you have any challenges?
I need to fly down to Orlando this week and pick up a vehicle that I'm driving back, and I'd rather not make the trip back unarmed.
Thanks!

Re: Why sight-offset is a *thing*
I will admit to doing this once, about 25 years ago, while in the military. Fortunately, we were shooting across the bed of the truck and I just caught the top surface of the bed rail. We even commented on the loud report, as I was shooting some "hot" Belgium Match .22 ammo", out of a...
