Well I changed my mind and purchased the all-black version. I thought about it for a while and decided that since it will be my carry gun, and I usually wear long black shirts, it would make more sence to have one that stands out less if my shirt gets caught on something/wind isn't cooperating, etc....

I'll have to see if I can make time on saturday to go check it out. I was planning on giving champion firearms a couple of more days to get my gun in, and if they dont get it then canceling and getting the non-bi-tone version from Academy, or shopping around somewhere else. I really wanted the bi-to...

You know there is a gunshow in Pasadena this coming saturday and sunday. You may be able to walk out with an XD this weekend if yours don't come through. Hmm, interesting. I'll have to look into that. This is going to sound silly though but do they take credit cards at those gun shows? Becau...

The longest you've waited for a gun?
I was wondering what the longest is that you guys have waited for a gun to come in? I've been waiting 2+ weeks now for the XD-9 I ordered and am starting to get tired of waiting I'm getting close to canceling my order and shopping somewhere else.
What about you guys?

Oh I understand that, but I would atleast feel like I'm doing somethin worthwhile with my life. I honestly think I am going to look into law enforcement after I obtain my bachelors degree. I don't want to become some manager or assistant manager sitting in an office raking in money for doing absolut...

how long does it take for the packet to get to austin?
So I mailed my packet off a couple of days ago but didn't bother to pay extra to get it signed for or anything (my mistake). How long does it usually take to get there/get in the system? Reason I ask is because I emailed them on the 6th saying that whenever they get the packet and my PIN ready to em...

dry firing a gun that has a hammer is bad. it will ruin the components of that hammer etc. dry firing a striker-fire gun is okay (such as the XD, Glock, etc). it does not have a hammer, but uses small pins inside of the gun to strike the bullet. theres nothing there to ruin it. that should be the co...
