Ranges near Vernon (Wilbarger County)

#1

Post by K.Mooneyham »

I recently moved to Vernon in Wilbarger County due to a new job. Did a search on the web, but not coming up with anything worthwhile. Can't afford to go buy a piece of land right now. Can anyone assist me in finding a good place to go shoot? Considering the distances out here, I'd be willing to drive an hour one way. Thank you all in advance.

The several times I've been through Vernon, in both directions, I got the impression one could shoot out from any of one's windows. :smilelol5:

If you don't mind driving to Wichita Falls come to

http://www.nwtfs.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and check out

http://nwtfsclays.webs.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We have trap, skeet, sporting clays, pistol, rifle, archery, you name it. Inexpensive to join and lots of fun for the family.

I wish we had anything like that in Cherokee County. *sigh*
