Putting together pieces from news stories, it seems "bunker" is a media codeword for a trailer home without utility connections.

No, I think a trailer home without utility connections is know as a "compound" in the media.

wow...if those are compounds and bunkers by media definition, my safe could be described as Mount Carmel!

A basement is a bunker, a yard with a fence is a compound. Any firearm with a pistol grip or any weapon that is used to assault someone is considered an assault weapon.

A person who has gone inside his house where he is believed to be prepared for a long stand-off as he has multiple weapons at hand is inside a bunker.

A person whose bunker has a perimeter, especially if that perimeter encompasses more than one building, is in a compound.

So no bunkers or tunnel systems?

I went back and read the original posted news links. I couldn't find any mention of the bunkers and tunnels.

We're they removed? I could have sworn I read about a neighbor saying he had the bunker and tunnels, in one of the articles.

And a person who's bunker inside his compound which consists of a trailer house in Odessa, TX is a confused and misplaced Redneck. Where's Jeff Foxworthy when ya need him?

Are there people in Odessa who aren't related?
