Terror attack in New Zealand

6 stabbed in supermarket. Attack stopped by good guy with gun. Man shouting Allah akbar dead.

So is this the first Allah akbar terror attack since the change in government in Afghanistan?

No, attack was stopped by law enforcement tailing him. Not a citizen with a firearm. NZ is a 'may issue' jurisdiction. In addition;

Self-defence
In the Arms Code, a manual on firearms safety, the New Zealand Police advise that "[t]he law does not permit the possession of firearms ‘in anticipation’ that a firearm may need to be used in self-defence."[18][19]:41

A cop is a good guy with a gun, as opposed to a bad guy with a gun intending to harms others. Well, most cops are good guys anyway.

Man was under 24 hr police surveillance.

That’s why there was only 6 stabbed among the unarmed population.
