Police have found no link between shooter and White Nationalist Militia.

Initial reports said that he was a Democrat and was influenced by ISIS. Then the white nationalist militia thing started and that was widely reported as the head of the group that we now find is maybe 8 people, said that he was a member and trained with them. Now he's not sure as there are a lot of Nicholases.

I guess everyone wants to blame someone else.

Now everyone is blaming Trump and congress for not doing anything and making it easier for the mentally ill to buy guns which is fake news of course.

I'm battling on Facebook with anti gunners who want the AR-15 banned.

I am pretty sure that the state's record of throwing money at an issue after a disaster usually doesn't work out like we indeed. . . .
Absolutely! I'm going to promote another change to the Private Security Act that would exempt volunteer security personnel serving public and private schools. There is a multitude of military veterans and retired police officers that would be happy to serve. I'm not saying that the exemption would apply only to those groups of people; they are just examples of people who would be happy to help protect our kids.

You're wasting your time, the anti-gunners are not going to change their minds. They're not going to change yours.

I'm no longer debating anyone online or face to face about it. The progressive socialists' minds are too poisoned to accept anything other than the talking points issued by their dear leaders.

In addition to the other things I learned in the 18 hour course, I have shown I can achieve over 90% on the Texas LTC course of fire, pass the DPS Shooting Under Duress exercise, and pass the shooting course for a major Texas city police department.

This training seems applicable to businesses and churches, as well as school districts.

Karl Rehn is presenting the class again March 12-13 in Conroe, Texas. https://www.saddleriverrange.com/traini ... -training/
I'm confused about this class. I looked at the class listing and it states that it involves drawing from a holster, using a concealment garment, shooting from cover, and a 50 rd. shooting under duress segment. None of these are in the official DPS SSC course and the Shooting Under Duress segment is 120 rds, not 50. DPS expressly prohibits deviating from the specified proficiency drills as noted in the following statement, "The course of fire must be current, as provided by the Department of Public Safety. No alteration of the course of fire is allowed."

Did the course you attended follow the format set out in Karl's current course description?

Chas.
I'm not sure how many rounds we fired during the duress shooting. I was a long course. I fired 318 rounds over the two days of the class. Karl said we fired more than required. I'll ask about the description.
I verified with Karl Rehn that we shot the 120 round DPS Shoot Under Duress. There is obvious an error in the course description. The DPS accepted the class paperwork and I have my certificate. The Under Duress was very challenging and interesting. Photo realistic targets of bad guys holding hostages in various poses and positions, shooting from several different distances.

I encourage y'all to seek out this training in your area. It is applicable to many situations, not only schools. Here is Karl's review of the class I took.

Police called to shooters home 39 times in 7 years.

Geez!

Sounds like a walking time bomb.

Lori Alhadeff, the mother of one of the victims, Alyssa Alhadeff, 14, said she had a message for President Trump.

“President Trump, we need action, we need change,” she said, tears streaming down her face. “Get these guns out of the hands of these young kids and get these guns off the streets.”

While I feel for the parents that lost kids, I personally blame the governments "Gun Free Zones" that set up these shooting fish in a barrel situations. Why do mass shootings happen in schools, night clubs movie theaters because they ban those such as myself that might stand a chance to shut down the situation before it became the worst case of carnage this year.

The local LE's obviously knew the perpetrator had issues, the school knew he had anger and disciplinary problems and the omnipotent FBI couldn't ID him from a user name on Youtube. Yes the system makes me feel very secure in their ability to protect. Give me the right to hang on to my personal protection device anywhere I am legally entitled to be.

The FBI, along with having many great men and women in its ranks, seems to have swamp maggots and incompetents in certain areas. Desperately in need of an overhaul.

The Sheriff just stated that the school had one armed security guard for a 45 acre, 3000 student campus. That is totally inadequate.

The hero coach was also acting as an armed security guard. He ran to the sound of gunfire. If he had been armed and trained, he probably would have been more effective in protecting the students. This is not a criticism of this hero; he did all he could and sacrificed himself. It is a criticism of a school system that failed to arm him!

If only 30% of our education taxes go to teachers, then there is a lot of fat in school budgets to use to harden the schools. After all, isn't it worth it if only one life is saved!

Too many administrators.
